Seriously though Hennessey has screwed over lots of people, he's a very unsavory businessman.

Yeah I'm actually curious to see how the Venom turns out. Henessey claims it will do 250 mph+ or whatever but there's more to going that fast than just putting a big fucking engine in a light car. I wouldn't be surprised to see some major aerodynamic issues once it starts going really fast. The Veyron had those issues when Bugatti was developing it.

Of course, I also wouldn't be surprised if none of these cars ever made their way to customers...

I don't know anything about the tuner market.. but I'm going to guess Hennessey's name isn't worth anything these days? Or is it just that a lot of people bitch on the Internet?

Lulz, ass.

In the late 90's/early 2000's, he had a horrible reputation. Funnily enough in the same June '01 issue in which Motor Trend tested his first TT Viper, one of the editors wrote in their column about Hennessy screwing over customers, his horrible BBB record/lawsuits, how he kept cars for over a year to just part them out, etc. I remember how he wrote about one customer showing up with a video camera to investigate for his lawsuit. At least in those days, if you were from Texas and thus able to check in regularly on your car, you got a good return on your investment, if you were out of state, you were SOL.
