Knife Sharpening in Hburg?
#1
Hey guys, couple of my pocket knives are getting kind of dull and was wondering if anyone knows of a place that does professional knife sharpening. I know I know, i could buy a sharpener and do it myself but I would prefer a professional job instead. Shipping back to the company is an option but it takes to long( especially for someone who carries a particular knife everyday..like me)

thanks

You might try the Rockingham Co-Op on Grace Street. If they don't offer this service, I'm sure they will know where to point you.

buy yourself a tri-stone. it really isn't that hard to get professinal results after some practice. just use some junk knives to practice on. if i have a good tri-stone i can get razor blade sharpness easily.

i have an $80 Kershaw used one all the time, but i had practice first. i believe there is a place out behind Dayton going toward Ottobine on route 257. at least there use to be. it's on the left hand side and there was a sign i believe.

The co-op doesn't sharpen in house and they don't have a great selection of sharpening tools. Honestly I would try a culinary store. My brother is a chef and I use his sharpening stones to sharpen my knives and they are much sharper than any other methods I've tried. A tri-stone that lays in oil is the way to go.
