yeah that's odd, typically car 101 is that a low speeds, you have higher coolant temps and lower oil temps, and then vice versa as speed rises.
do you have a fan installed, and can you confirm its pushing the air the correct way through the rad and not backwards? try getting that front plate out of the way. are rotary's a PITA to bleed air out of the cooling system? maybe a bubble is stuck in there.

Thats what I always thought too. I have the factory clutch fan still installed. I have another clutch fan at home I may just swap. Takes all of five minutes to do so might as well try and I need to find a better spot for my plate. I'm about to just pull the ac condensor also to improve flow.

On my miata, the combo of front plate and aftermarket grill/mesh thing covering that opening was giving me the same problem, high coolant temps on highway. I found even minor adjustments to the plate's angle/location (and getting rid of the mesh), made all the difference.
Also, did the new radiator do away with any factory plastic shrouds or undertray? Could be another big difference at speed too.

Small update.
My rear calipers have started to seize and stick a little so I picked up some re manufactured calipers and painted black so they don't rust. Hopefully will be this weekend at some point. Its been a while since i've done any thing on this car so hopefully I don't round off every brake line fitting. Stay tuned.
