Take off the turbos, throw the triple in a motorcycle and you have the coolest bike ever that can switch from two stroke to four stroke on the fly

That actually seems like a good application, just a 2cyl 500 that would have normal fuel economy 4 stroke mode and then "off road only" 2 stroke mode complete with red "do not press" button beside the throttle. With so few valves total seems like it wouldn't be so expensive?

what am I missing? It can fire every rotation instead of every other, sounds like a two stroke to me. Now, this thing can't run very fast in that mode, but maybe that can be improved?

it has valves. its an otto cycle.

They make 2 strokes with exhaust valves. Maybe not in the 100% traditional sense, but they are definitely exhaust valves. I don't think anything that defines a two stroke includes whether or not it has valves.

Yeah even though it doesn’t use traditional valving it’s still only two strokes to cycle it instead of four

992 GT3 looks about finished. Aero looks way more aggressive than before, but that makes sense since that's probably the best way for a car like the GT3 to pick up lap time. Can't imagine they're gonna add more than 20-25 hp.

I wonder how much cars like this are going to be delayed because of coronavirus.
