Chernobyl finale was absolutely on point. Brilliantly shot, great acting, good and succinct closure, and the final credits noting the true “after it all ended” toll with the somber music was great. I wish more shows/stories would take up the mini-series format instead of dragging on forever.

I came here to say this. I can't remember a show in recent history that actually wrapped up every single loose end. The rolling photos and summary of the people's lives was really well done. Another great piece done by HBO.
Edit:
Also the use of the word "comrade" was spot on. I know it was a serious term they used in the USSR, but I felt like it was used as an ironic joke the entire time and it worked.

I watched the Chernobyl finale tonight. If you can believe it, while trying to watch the episode during the first-run air time last night, during Valery Legasov's testimony of a safety test going wrong halfway through the episode , Verizon thought it'd be a great time to run a test of the Emergency Alert System. It cut out 5 minutes of the episode so I called it quits and re-watched from the start tonight. Those nincompoop fuckers, it was too perfect.
Anyways, what a flawless, haunting finale. I expected nothing less given the show became the highest audience-rated show in history. I simultaneously loved and was horrified by the examination of what went down in the control room that night - I think even after the scene in which we stare at a burning-reactor pit of death, the scariest part of the whole series was how they showed the depths of Soviet thought control, groupthink and propaganda.
This show better win every award there is. I don't know which scene was the most haunting that I'll honestly remember for as long as I watch television.

Highly recommend the Chernobyl Podcast (called Chernobyl). Peter Sagal is the host interviewing the creator Craig Mazin. 5 episodes detailing the characters, events, and where they took cinematic liberties (very rarely). It's on YouTube and all other podcast services.

Meh. Chernobyl was OK as far as TV goes, but it wasn't as good as you guys had me hyped. I don't know if it's because I already knew a fair amount about it or what. The one main scientist actor has been in a lot of stuff lately - he's pretty good. Some of the scenery was OK, but it was a lot of repeat of stuff you see in pop culture (call of duty, etc)

I thought it was good. I know it was impossible because the Soviets didn't really keep track but a little more closure would have been nice like what happened to all the soldiers from the roof.
I really liked sibena. He was a completely hated character in the beginning and then he comes around mid way to be likable and by the end, you're kind of sad knowing he's going to die. I think the actor who played him really helped that and did a good job.
Hard to believe only 31 people died (like I know it was way more) but it seemed like there were way more people close to the reactor for a long time after it was exposed. Like how anyone who was on scene at the time lived for any period of time is crazy

The Billions season finale was fantastic. Great dialogue and plot. The middle of the season had me getting a little bored and feeling that it had jumped the shark. They brought it all together with a wild ending that I did not see coming. If anyone else is watching, here is a translation of Chuck's Italian monologue. Who knew Paul Giamatti could speak such beautiful Italian?

season 2 of Yellowstone started up under my nose and currently making my way through it. still really dig this show....feels somewhere between The Godfather and Tombstone. Costner's a surprisingly reliable performance and Cole Hauser and Jefferson White deserve some recognition.
i wonder how much of it is based on actual ranch culture. nobody said cowboyin's easy work but they do a great job of making the gritty side of western living look like a different world.

Almost finished with The Boys. Unless it does something stupid in the last two episodes, I loved it.

I wish they would give a date for when it will air.
Anyone watch Euphoria on HBO? Holy balls, even for HBO there is some graphic sex scenes. It's well done, but not overly gripping.
