I saw that on FB the other day. That Tommei Evo seems to be extremely rare from what I read.

Anyone trying to go halfsies?
All are marked as not legal to register. That someone already has a not legal for road use R34 up to $70k is just proof bid-sites are dumb.

When they're legal to import here, they'll be cheaper.
See: R33s for not crazy prices.

But for real people do it. They also have companies "legally" do it before 25 year mark

Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk You may be mistaken if you're referring to R34s specifically. One company was doing it because they crash tested them, but then it came out they made up the date for some models and those cars were crushed.

Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk You are wrong and are likely talking about the Motorex cars. You can read Craig Lieberman's blog about it if you want to know more. He's the guy behind the original Supra in Fast and Furious. http://fastandfuriousfacts.com/why-skyli...x-scandal/

Even if you stash a R34 in the US and wait for the 25 year mark, its still crushable afterwards b/c it was brought on US soil before its legal date of entry. This is why US owners are storing cars in Japan & Canada waiting for that 25-year date before shipping.
MotoRex had federal approval from the NHTSA to sell R33 (and only R33) GT-R's after retrofitting side impact beams and crash testing them. They then pretended the approval also applied to R32 & R34 cars (that weren't modified for safety) and got caught. ~13 R34 GT-R's were sold via this ploy before they got shut down & the feds let the owners keep them. These are the ONLY federally legal R34 GT-R's in the country currently. One of the 13 was the 2F2F hero car, also owned by Craig Lieberman that he bought after selling his Supra. Its back to its original black paint & lives in Colorado.
All other R34's in the US currently are state titled and illegal/crushable under federal law if caught. No ifs ands or buts. 99% of modern Skyline variants are also illegal & denied via the Show & Display exemption.

YOU GON LEARN TODAY. I typed up my last post while suffering from a crushing headache so if it was terse, know that I still love you.
Interestingly, the 2F2F GT-R, before Mr. Lieberman bought it, was known as "Blackbird" & was MotoRex's demo car, and as I noted, still survives.
Also interestingly, the 1st F&F GT-R was known as "Big Bird", & was MotoRex's previous demo car. It, despite being a "legal" R33, was crushed into a cube by the state of Wisconsin.
RIP.
