Alec Michaels intro
#1
Hey what’s up everyone my name is Alec Michaels and I am from Bel Air, Maryland. I am a sophomore and am majoring in business management. The car I drive is a white 2017 Honda Accord sport. It’s nothing special and all I have done is a few exterior mods for looks. I am looking into doing some things to it in the future just not sure what. I have always had a love for cars, but never learned any of the mechanics or how to work on them so I am definitely looking into learning some things and upgrading my car. My dad has a 2011 Bama tuned mustang gt right now with a bunch of upgrades like flow master exhaust, K&N air filter, strut bars and many more. My grandfather is also a car guy and buys salvaged corvettes and classics and fixes them up (pictures attached). But yea I am really excited for this club and look forward to meeting you all more and learning a bunch about cars!

No it is not unfortunately. It does have a paddle shifter option which can be fun though

Hey Alec, welcome! There's usually plenty of opportunities to get your knuckles busted if you want to dig into any of that.
Is your grandfathers shop up in MD also? Looks like some neat projects.
I'm looking at your Accord and having dirty, dirty thoughts about the reliability!

Welcome! There have been a few Accords pass through MM but please don't pull a Polen and slam yours on its nuts. It makes it very hard for me to make beer runs in it mid-party without scraping driveway aprons. Or so I've heard.

Would love to see more pics of the Corvettes and shop, that looks great!

Thank you for all the welcomes. I don’t plan on doing anything too crazy to my car so don’t have to worry about that lol. Maybe just an air intake, exhaust and other little things. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. But yes my grandfather has multiple garages all in Hagerstown, Maryland. He owns probably about 12 or 13 corvettes at the moment (only about 5 or 6 drivable) and about 25 cars total. His current baby he is working on is a 56 with a 265 V8. Very cool cars. Maybe I can convince him to bring one for the car show.

Very cool and welcome! Take care of those wheels on the Accord; i hear they're hot commodities on the black market (hopefully that subsides).

lol, no

I think I've had 13 instances where I was the victim of vandalism. I am/was the running gag of MM for theft/vandalism.

You secretly loved it. I know it. I miss this car even though I turned it to a trash heap.

He used to! He used to do it all. As he is getting older and fought leukemia the doctors said it is not a good idea anymore to be around the chemicals. But he definitely used to

Welcome man, it was great seeing you on the cruise the other day! Those Accords have gotten pretty sporty over the years, you can definitely have some fun at autocrosses and track days with it.

Super cool about your grandfather’s shop, maybe he’ll trade one of those Corvettes to me as I’ve been having some bad ideas lately...
