Yeeahhh on one hand the IRS usually doesn't focus its might on the little fish when it comes to unreported income. But if they're able to get transaction ledgers from any of the exchanges along with the blockchain, it seems like it would be very easy to hit up a massive amount of people for not reporting gainz.
Right now though, the people who should be most worried are the ones who made 5 figures or more and people who were paid or paid for criminal shit with BTC.

Anyone have a good site to recommend for checking stock trends? I just want to see SMA 200 and 50 overlaid on a chart, along with trading volume. I was using google's charts for years but now they've decided to get rid of all the indicators and useful stuff.
The only decent phone app I found that did this stopped working entirely about 6mo ago, I tried a handful of other ones, found incorrect and incomplete crap, gave up. So also if you have a phone app to recommend I'll try that too.

Thanks for the recommendation, I was just playing with it a bit and cannot figure out how to get an accurate SMA200.
OTOH I've found stockcharts.com daily moving averages are correct. Slow, lots of ad-crap on the screen, but it's useful and I can save my settings as a link.

All up an average of 4% today, tempting to sell!

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. They're all mostly the same TBH. I would avoid Wells with the dumpster fire that company is right now and the issues they had specifically around their personal lines services. This is Bank of America land down here and their coverage and technology is staggering. They have virtual tellers in their ATMs and branches. Our wealth management portfolio is managed by Merrill Lynch which is owned by Bank of America, so we get a lot of extra perks.
Keep in mind you don't necessarily have to use a lender that you personal bank with. I do occasionally (Canyon note is BoA) but I have the Mazda note out with Chase and our mortgage through Wells (they had by far the best interest rates and programs and have actually been pretty good to deal with on the mortgage side)

Any credit union with decent coverage or perks that let you "bank" in non-branch locations. For example, our credit union lets us use most 7-11 ATMs.
Banks suck.

I believe you can get a checking account through Fidelity with use of any ATM for free.

This.
If you can get in with NFCU or another large CU then do that and never look back.

What kind of benefits are you guys getting from your credit unions? We bank with PNC and don't have any issues at all, but we don't get any perks either.

We have our cars and mortgage through ECU (Eastman Credit Union), which guarantees to beat any rate by at least .5% and also offers excellent dividends based on your account balances and total loans with the business each year. Doing nothing we generally get between $800-$1100 every year and our rates are always lower than whatever we get from anywhere else.

I don't think either of us qualify most credit unions. Looks like the main one around here would be VACU but as far as I can tell we don't qualify and they have mixed reviews. Also not sure I've found all the information I need about limitations of banking with them in my brief browsing of their website.

We get tiered interest rates with BECU (Boeing Employee...) and some of them are like 6%. That wouldn't beat the market this year, but if you have to have access to cash it makes sure you're making decent coin on what you have sitting there.
The GTI loan is with them because the dealer's search for loans came back as them having the best rate. Not sure is being a member mattered, but I think it did.
I've also managed to get free event tickets through them, but that's nominal.

Mostly better service. Every time I have to interact with a bank from a car loan I've taken out or some other type of business I would rather gouge out my eyeballs and repeatedly slam my dick in a door. NFCU is a breeze. They're really wonderful. They're awesome when dealing with credit card fraud, which happens about once a year for me.
But, they also have better rates on most everything and because of their size often can sell different products (rates/terms/rewards/etc) than smaller banks/CU's.

I've looked at credit Union rates for used cars and they are better than most big banks so I see the benefit there. I never go to a physical bank so service doesn't apply to me. Only loan is through Honda so it's set to auto pay and forget about it. I'll likely look at some local credit unions when it comes time to replace my car.
