Over what period?

- WRXtranceformed - 10-08-2008

Any car I've ever owned (STi specifically)

I don't think I ever saw it as a moneymaker though!

- JackoliciousLegs - 10-08-2008

last year? last 6 months? i dunno... ever.. just show me some numbers in the red to make me feel better.

- mrbaggio - 10-08-2008

I have FRE stock that was gifted to me when I worked there. It's pretty worthless now.

Worst I've had was 35.8%, you have to go back more than a year to get anything higher than that.

That's what I'm talking about!

- BLINGMW - 10-08-2008

-41.22% over just the last month.

- HAULN-SS - 10-08-2008

401k - Your Personal Investment Performance© -31.49% over the last year

CAP - Your Personal Investment Performance© -29.31%, same period..but all this money is free, so it's not realyl a huge deal to me.

- Evan - 10-08-2008

I have lost about 48% of what I do have in the market since investing it about a year and a half ago.
Luckily most of my money I have kept in cash.

my 401k I never bothered to switch out of money market, so I am ok there. (horray for laziness!)

i bought some apple stock at 172 (it is now 95, but was down to 88 this week)... yes, i tripled up at 88.

- Maengelito - 10-08-2008

is anyone retiring really soon? If the company goes bankrupt, thats one issue, but if they're bought out there's probably a few options available to you. Stocks can rise in value as much as they can plummet. So unless you're day trading, hanging on to some of your investments may not be as bad as you think.

Bought at 165. Dammit I was thinking about doubling down last night too since there are good rumors afoot. But lately they've been nothing but good news and are tanking like everyone else! :? I just can't bring myself to do it.

- Mike - 10-08-2008

they're at like a 2-year low and i don't see them or the computer industry really going anywhere... seems like a no-brain buy even now Tongue

My mutual fund and 401k (mostly large cap stocks) are down ~22% from end of last year but the biggest individual fund is down ~45%. All of my liquid savings (about half) are in money markets so I'm not really worried about it.

In the grand scheme of things, we really aren't that bad off. I remember that drop in '02 being labeled a "market correction".

but thanks for making me check :-P - across the board i'm 23% down and the highest loss is at about 40%

my guess is we'll level off at 9500 and then begin another build to 16000 for a few years, then drop back to 12ish, then raise higher than 16. that's how a lot of stocks work, at least. constant up and down with the highs and lows being a bit higher than last time.

"There are only two positions to take in this market, cash or fetal."

- Evan - 10-08-2008

a lot of analysts are predicting that it will keep going down until it hits 7500.

Just looked at my portfolio, my worst single stock is down 69% this year. My only stock that is up for the year is Netflix

- WRXtranceformed - 10-10-2008

I can't find the login and password for my stock investment account and money market, but I don't even want to look at it. It's going to depress the shit out of me haha
