Gahhh those sound so good. The "55" AMGs are more reliable though.
You should absolutely do it.

If you got annoyed at how much your Subaru broke and how much heartache that was, you absolutely should not get an old AMG Benz

Guys...guys...it's a joke....
If I'm worried about a 3yr old BMW, I'm def not snagging up a 10yr old Merc AMG.
Ok but for real talk right now, would it be dumb to give my wife the truck, dump her CX5, get a CPO S4 and tune the living balls out of it?

Didn't you just get the CX5? Have you ridden the curve long enough to not take a major hit on it?

If i got to the point of seriously considering it, it would be fine. We have some "equity" in it since I put a chunk of change down (ie I would take a hit but I wouldn't be rolling in negative equity which I never like to do). Even though it was completely cosmetic, with the recent accident I don't know how long that takes to show up on the Carfax history so that would be another thing to consider.

Revolve that door dog.
FWIW, you aren't gonna want the CX-5 with a rear facing carseat.

DJ - For serious, that's what I waffle back and forth on. My buddy and I were having a conversation the other day (he has a custom Saleen stang and a custom small block hotrod) and he reminded me how much of a stress reliever a fun, fast car is for him. Having eliminated most of the destructive vices (health wise) on my life I struggle sometimes to blow off steam...and a fast car definitely has always done it for me. On the same token, then I'll go out somewhere and some dipshit parks obscenely close to me when I'm parked waayyyy out at the end of the parking lot and nearly door ding me (if I didn't have step rails) and I'm like man I don't miss that stress. Or the stress of hitting a pothole, etc. Or getting rear ended by some old man not paying attention at a stoplight. I care about my truck and am still anal about it but less in a cosmetic sense, because truck
I could kind of justify an AWD Audi in my head because I could still realistically drive that in the winter to see our families. The F-Type would just be because F-Type, I am a BeLIEBer in the brand now after my XFR ownership.
I'll probably just go back to being responsible...but I'm pretty sure I typed out those exact words in this forum before I ended up buying the black 510hp monster

sounds like you need an older performance car - something with a great engine/chassis but a body you don't mind getting a ding or a hail mark on. something like a restomod or 90's sports car.
but then i don't know if it would feel "Lee" enough if it wasn't all minty all the time
