Altered Carbon is actually pretty good for anyone into sci-fi stuff. I'm about 8 episodes in so far and I've enjoyed all of them.
The general premise is that human consciousnesses are stored on these little disk things and bodies can easily be swapped and you don't really die unless the disk is damaged. Some guy that is a trained fighter in a war a few hundred years ago is brought back to solve a murder case.
It has a kind of black mirror feel in that it explores how this kind of technology can become problematic in a lot of ways.

I liked Altered Carbon, lots of good visuals and a decent narrative, though I think it maybe could have been better had they stuck to the source material a hair closer.
On the whole, I'd give it a 7/10, would watch after I finished the rest of my queue.

I'm really liking Altered Carbon as well, visually stunning.
I will say though, it's one of those shows that requires full attention. Even then, they casually use terminology only quickly established earlier so I find myself rewinding pretty often to make sure i heard them right and occasionally google some of the terms.

Just finished Vice Principals (HBO). I'm not a huge Danny McBride fan and the commercials didn't really do much to get me to watch it, but once you start watching, it's funny as hell. The whole thing is only 19 episodes and they're only a half hour each so it's not a huge time investment.
Definitely worth a watch if you have access to HBO shows.

I've been meaning to finish Vice Principals, it's not the funniest thing ever but it has it's moments, I'm 3 or 4 episodes into the 2nd season.
I really liked maybe the first three episodes of Altered Carbon but after that it failed to hold my attention. I liked the premise but idk, it just lost me.

Then: 18 VW GTI Autobahn | 95 BMW M3 | 15 VW GTI SE | 12 Kia Optima SX | 2009 VW GTI | 00 BMW 540i Sport | 90 Mazda Miata | 94 Yamaha FZR600R | 1993 Suzuki GS500E | 2003 BMW 325i | 95 Saab 900S
Watched one episode of Vice Principals a while back and it was pretty funny. Never really tried to continue though. Maybe I will. The wife and I are now watching High Maintenance on HBO. Basically the story of a weed delivery guy who rides a bike through Manhattan. Each episode is about a different customer. Really funny seeing all of the different people the guy interacts with.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but anyone watch Humans? 2 seasons on Prime. I'm a big fan of Do Android Dream and Bladerunner, so it's cool to see a new take on the Android problem.

*****Walking Dead spoilers*****
Things I'm done watching.....
Walking Dead
This season has been a huge struggle, I celebrated Carl's whiney retarded ass getting bitten. But dragging out the end an entire episode....I'm out.
Props for making it this far. I gave it up when they wasted an entire episode of Neegan looting their town. Must have been 3 or 4 seasons ago.

I made it to the farm, and stopped. Then powered through that, it picked back up, and at the end was eager about this season. But dragging out the Negan storyline over like 3 seasons....it's slow and annoying.
Plus, I'm being a bit nit picky here, but watching a couple of gun battles this season...my fucking 5yr old handles a paper towel roll gun better than these people.
All of you people have been handling guns for how long? You're walking around like a 80s action flick just spraying bullets like they grow on trees, without even holding your AK/AR on your shoulder, shooting from your gut?
GTFO "Officer" Rick
Yeah, how are you able to continue watching Walking Dead? Should've stopped 4 years ago.
I WFH, gotta have something on as background noise.

That's what The Office on repeat is for. So it's actually genuinely funny and interesting when you do get to to pay attention

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Just finished Altered Carbon. Overall 8/10. End felt rushed and a little ridiculous, but overall great before that. Would recommend. Really wasn't confusing. Just pay attention.
