I don't know what this pizza bullshit is, but I bought back in to TSLA-- I'm keeping my fingers crossed their upcoming earnings call will include some good news on solar panel production to take advantage of this new tariff situation. They could be the largest US producer of solar panels if they wanted to.
Is anyone in Ferrari (RACE)? If 2018 is going to have everyone riding high on stock market bubble, seems like they can only do well.
In other news I might have to sell F and ADNT if they don't bounce back today.

Up 26% since this was posted. Oops!
Now 45% since the original post in September.
Earnings is next week. I have no insider information, but I think we're headed to $1500.

So, in my Vanguard Roth IRA across three ETFs (Consumer, Health Care, and Tech) I'm at 18% rate of return for 10 months. Is that normal? Low? High? Not familiar with ETFs but seems pretty good? Just trying to figure out if I should add more or invest elsewhere for an IRA.

In the normal investing world, 18% is a really, really good rate of return

I honestly don't know. I always sell all my RSU, because apparently I'm a sucker, but the growth seems legitimate (when you look at the market as a whole). The business is so diversified, with new things coming all the time, I can't see it faltering a ton unless a Blue Origin rocket falls on Bezos's head.

It's been a crazy year all around, so "normal" isn't really applicable. Vanguards top 10 ETFs were 30-39% over the last year and the S&P is up 24%.

Per the above, it looks like your annualized rate of 21.6% would put it around 35th best (60th percentile). IOW, you're just a wee bit better than mid-pack. You can definitely do better.
Mine is 28% over the last year, but I purposely chose a US large cap growth fund because I'm conservative like that.

Awesome, thank you for the link/info. I'll take more look into that list and probably adjust my ETFs. Consumer Staples is bringing my average down quite a bit.

Well today was not a great day for the markets. Possibly based on the news of how Berkshire Hathaway, Amazon, JP Morgan are collaborating on the healthcare front. This should shape up to be very interesting.

We've been running and informal bet on whether the price will hit $1500 before earnings Thursday evening.
