I don't think it warrants a new thread and this one has been slightly dormant lately so wondering if I can hi-jack it for a few pages and see what everyone is rocking for wedding bands since this is kind of a jewelry thread.
I'm currently thinking the embr red sandalwood ring but I'm super indecisive because there are so many wedding bands that are all so similar. I have small hands and they make a 6mm width which I think would better than the 8mm that is pictured. I know there are a few recently married as well as soon to be and then the long timers so just curious what everyone else has done or is thinking of doing. Sent from my VK810 4G using Tapatalk

QALO or generic equivalent
I have a few cheap tungsten rings I picked up on Amazon and they're fine ($8-10...but literally exactly the same as the ones jewelry stores try to charge $300+ for) but they are so hard they scratch the crap out of everything they touch including my watches. After putting a nice dinger in the caseback of the Rolly with one the other day, they have been relegated back to the jewelry box and I only wear my black QALO Oh and I should have an update in a few weeks on Project "Two Tone" ![]() In the meantime, my pocket watch is on the block! I don't know that anyone here would be interested, but take a look anyway if you're bored! https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/c...ld_filled/ ![]()

I think mine is Tungsten as well. It's scratched to hell, but I literally never take it off except for when I am at the gym.

I really don't like wearing a ring so I don't wear them unless I leave the house

I've got a Tungsten one I wear on dressy occasions, otherwise I've got a couple silicone rings I go between.

Going on 15+ years with a platinum ring I had made while working at a jewelry store. It is nicked and scratched up, and has been squished out of round a few times (but goes back into shape) all part of the character to me.

That really shouldn’t be the case with Tungsten. Mine has 0 scratches after wearing it for 4 years straight. The 2 downsides of Tungsten rings are they are heavy (if you care about that) and you run the risk of doctors not being able to cut the ring off of you if you mangle your hand in an accident because of the hardness of the metal.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

hmmm maybe mine is white gold then. That would make more sense in regards to the scratches.

This was another reason I switched to silicone for the most part. Google images of "degloving" and it will scar you a bit from wearing tungsten haha

I just googled removing a Tungsten ring out of curiosity. It seems you can crack them off. It may not be as big of a deal as people make it out to be.

Brother is a Firefighter in FFX, don't buy Tungsten. I like having 10 fingers.
I have a Qalo and an Amazon special.

I mean yeah. If you're in a profession/circumstance where you work with machines or something, maybe don't wear a metal ring (or a ring at all) but I work at a computer screen, and I take my jewelry off when I operate power tools. Risk mitigated.

Ha yeah I wasn't saying that tungsten was the only one that could do it, but even stuff like car accidents could put you at risk with a metal ring. Plus I personally find the silicone rings a million times more comfortable and lighter to wear. I was starting to see the chrome on my truck door handle and the paint on the exterior handle was getting scratched up from my tungsten rings. And since we are in the watch thread, they were scratching the crap out of the casebacks of my watches if I forgot to take the ring off first which you may or may not care about if you have a nicer timepiece

It is more brittle so a hammer/vice grips should break it off. While Titanium and some of the others need special cutters. I hate silicone rings with a passion but will use them when working out. http://www.fresno.ucsf.edu/em/posters/sn...er2010.pdf

Doesn't seem to matter what you're doing, still seems to be a risk of degloving. Didn't Jimmy Fallon fall in his kitchen and it get caught on a counter or something?
For fuksak, don't Google images of ring avulsion. I think I'll get a metal ring to wear the day of the wedding and then like when we go out to dinner or something but I'm already not a jewelry fan so maybe I'll figure something else out for everyday or try out a silcone one. It's weird that men have worn these things for hundreds (maybe thousands idk) of years and now you hear about these freak accidents... Of course now we also have internet so maybe it's always happened Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
