Watched Ep1Season2 last night. I liked it quite a bit. It definitely felt like the old Top Gear with the banter and general debauchery of the trio. The camera work is still great and I thought it was funny how they admitted that the celebrity brain crash was horrible. I loved watching Hasselhoff and (random british guy) hoon the hell out of the F Type through gravel. I will keep watching.

I loved how they acknowledged how much the fans hated it. Thankfully they listen and make changes. That's a good sign and makes me feel better as a fan. The hof looked wierd as f*** on my TV. I don't know if it's 4k or the way he looks now but it was kind of scary looking. Like I didn't want to stare directly at him.

To be honest, I'm not sure it was even in 4k. Will the uhd content play if the tv is not supporting 4k? I have the option to turn on full uhd color for my inputs but I was using the tv apps which I would assume would have to support 4k

Jesus, man. I think we should ban you from technology.

The TV Apps support 4K and you don't need to enable anything for it. When you choose Grand Tour on the amazon app, make sure it's the UHD one (i hate that they separate it, but i digress.) If you want to double check, just bring up the control panel (i.e. hit play or pause or hit down on the remote) and you should see it on the bottom left say either 1080P or UHD.

Yea I suck at tech but it's not all my fault. Vizio hides their uhd picture editing mode unless you actually have 4k content on and I'm not seeing any indication on the menu that I'm editing 4k stuff opposed to just hd picture

This latest episode was better than last season for sure, but I just can't help but be bothered by the clearly scripted and forced bits. I know Top Gear was always like that, but I feel like it's been years since we got a true blue episode like the Bolivia Special.

I absolutely hate the piped in horn honks in every episode. Hate the "Hammond playing dumb" bits. Ugh

Just drive cars and tell me about them. Thanks

The second episode was definitely not as good as the first. I did not need to watch Hammond/May fuck around airports and bus terminals while Clarkson sat in construction traffic. What a stupid fucking premise for that episode. The interviews with the celebrity drivers are also entirely too long. Introduce them, give us a fun fact or two and move on. Don't make Brian Wilson tell stories about getting arrested at 16 and ruining a cricket match.

He really did seem like a scumbag. He used to be an absolute monster closer and has since seemed to fade off and out of the spotlight.

Who is this show marketed to anymore? Everything is fake. Everything is dumb. Minutes upon minutes of inane jokes about Hammond, stupid interviews I don't care about. Completely unbelievable racing between those office workers? The whole premise of that bit is so fake.

Why put the stinger against skateboarders? It wasn't exciting at all. This isn't a car show, it's a variety show with cars and I don't like it.

Yay people breaking away from loving these “goofballs”. You should definitely check out the last couple episodes of the last season of Top Gear. It’s good again, although “joey” just can’t seem to be relaxed.
