This is my boy Jim from NJ's bitchin 1957 Plymouth 2dr wagon. Its super sweet, the pics don't do it justice.

The two doors were a less expensive option back in the day. Two door sedans and wagons were anyway. Real coupes are a whole other animal. This particular car was a florist delivery wagon in southern California before it made its way to Jim. He has over 30 57/8 Plymouths, I visited him a few weeks ago and my mind was totally blown.

I used to see that car's twin on my commute like 4-5 years ago, almost always in Chantilly. I can't imagine there were that many E63 Wagons in that color.

Drives me nuts about the Nomad too. I would love a resto-mod Nomad as a daily but the two doors would drive me nuts. It's also probably the reason it looks better than most old wagons though.

Knowing the story behind this one though, it kind of makes sense. I like the survivor nature of it too.

Well whaddya know. It certainly is a pretty car, the color looks even lighter in person from what I remember, almost a robin's egg blue. Super pretty car, although IMO the rectangular-running-light design of that generation E-class has aged poorly. I'd rather have the older W211 or the newer, non-quad headlight one.
