+1
But I also have 4 silver cars and a white car. I am not very "hip" if that's what kids call it these days.

+2

But my race car was flat black until this season, so what do I know......

+3 we all make mistakes.

"just spraying again" would require dozens of hours of prep work, that's why a good quality paint job is usually $5k+. The appeal of dip is you just make sure the surface of the car is perfectly clean, blow $300 in materials onto it, and when it starts to look shitty or you get tired of it, peel it off and do it again. At least in theory.

Welp I think it's about that time now... my rears have a bit more tread, but not by much. The rears are basically touching the wear bars.

So... the great tire debate. Get something similarly aggressive like the re-71r or something a little less aggressive like the sport comp-2?

Will be 245/40/17. 255 I'll have to buy a 5mm front spacer I don't really want to do it, but Wil if anyone thinks it will make a big difference.

just get the same ol' tire you have been running unless price is an issue.

Lols. The amount I have to spend on tires total cost installed will be a bit more than two HPDE weekends. SO yeah that's why I'm asking...

I will always be bringing a spare winter wheel/tire. Also, Kaan said a ratchet strap can get a tire to remount so it has me a bit less worried

Kaan didn't share the whole technique with you... Requires a little more than just a ratchet strap to reseat the bead. Ask me how I know Wink

I'll just leave this here so everyone can tell me no.

Edit: I think I may just do full race car retard on this car to max points in TTD. I know some people developing aero on these cars finally.

150 hp + wide sticky tires = will I be slipping that much to need it? According to some Mazda3 people it won't be that much of an issue as they used to think.

Edit: would be +3 for LSD. +1 would only be for a modified LSD already installed. Less weight or LSD? Aero will only make me faster in a lighter car around turns, theoretically at least. Obviously slower in a straight line... already is slow there anyways. Aero would benefit at Summit and Dominion, but may hurt me ay VIR. I could take off canards points if they don't make a huge difference (@DJ?)

I don't care if this isn't a proper race car. I already know that. This car will be cheap and easy to fix for awhile. I already have it halfway there. The car is paid off. I know I wouldn't mind losing it. Be way cheaper than buying an actual race car for awhile too. I don't care if I ruin the car. This also fixes the issue of no competition in TTE.

yes an LSD will still help you ... big ol' sticky tires or not.
