Absolutely impeccable work I could not be happier. The car looks even better than it did on the day of delivery. I don't want to spoil his writeup but I took the pictures so here are a few of my favorites. I rarely take pictures of anything so these are just point and shoot with my Galaxy S4.

Had a blast in Charlotte with you and your wife- really appreciate the hospitality!
Car came out great- the paint was very easy to work with- compared to the two other R's I have worked on (XK's) this bling bling metallic black was a walk in the park.

Dropped off the beast to get the differential looked at again. They actually had a Jag loaner for me this time instead of a minivan or cube. I got a white 2.0T XF. I am pretty impressed actually so far! Very nimble probably because the engine is lighter, 8 gears seems dumb, stop start is definitely dumb. The motor is very healthy and it seems to have plenty of usable torque in "around town" situations. Perhaps the combination of the gearbox and the new engine gives it that peppiness. That's the biggest complaint about the power delivery for my car and why I am considering a tune in the future. It doesn't need a ton of low end torque it could just use a power band shift to the left.

Are you sure it doesn't already make a shitton of torque and then 2 shittons of power up top, which is skewing your perception? That same M6 neighbor I mentioned in the other thread always bitched that the V10 really needed to be wrung out compared to the more usable torque of the old V8 M5s. When I drove it I thought he was nuts.
It was unsettlingly quick at 2k, downright scary at 5k and I peed a little after 7500.
Those little turbo 4-pots aren't too shabby though! That's what I love about the Kia and GTI, both give 30+ mpg mileage on the highway and both pour their little hearts out for you at 1900rpms. The GTI is definitely not a "fast" car, especially on the highway, but around down in 2nd or 3rd gear it squeezes the most out of that 220ft-lbs and can really scoot through traffic, which is how I use it 99.99% of the time.

Joey, That could very well be true, I may be used to the torque delivery now. It is kind of blessing and a curse of the car, it helps give it milder manners in traffic / stop and go but because the car is big and heavy you lose the agility and peppiness that makes around town driving fun. Using the flappy paddles helps that of course. I guess you can't really have it all but a little more power delivery below 3k-3500 would make it more enjoyable.

Uhhhhhh....not that I am aware of. Cupped tires = fucked alignment, would prob hear/feel vibrations but not just at launch, youd feel it all the time.
Yeah I got a second opinion. The front tires have a little more life on them, the rears are close to their wear bars with slight cupping. From what I understand cupping can occur also when you don't rotate your tires, which I can't really do on this car. With the bent wheels I have had lately I am not surprised that the tires are having issues.
So the rears need to be replaced soon anyway, will likely go ahead and replace all 4 so that I have the same tire on the fronts and rears. With the tire I am looking at it is cheaper to replace all 4 than just two of the OEM SP Sport Maxx :lol:
What's odd is that the vibrations are non existent after the car / tires are warmed up so it may be the TC kicking in slightly. I will know for sure after it has a new set of rubber on.

Because badges add street cred. It was on sale and I had a coupon :p
Also pulled the trigger on these Italian knockoffs on Ebay while I was sitting here at the dealership because the entire set was cheaper than just a single OEM wheel center cap. I figure they have to be better than the Chinese knockoffs, or maybe like an Italian they will just cause my car to spill oil all over my driveway, overheat and require an engine overhaul every 10k miles.
Impressions on the NT555s after I get a chance to drive on them. I saw the tech who I have befriended in the back while I was dropping off the tires and he said that a computer update for the differential control module came out shortly after he replaced my diff, so that might also help the cold judder issue. I think they are going to go ahead and reprogram it while I am here. Sweet!

The installation took me all of 2 minutes with a watch band sizing tool and a microfiber cloth to protect the badge surround. I did it right after I parked the car because the ambient heat from the engine warmed up the tape and made it VERY easy to remove.

Riding on the Nitto NT555s is like driving a different car. It is incredible how awful the stock Dunlops were. I'm not going to take all the credit away from the OEM tires because I did have a chance to drive on them with plenty of life. However, steering and turn-in feel MUCH crisper with the Nittos even when the Dunlops were healthy. In fact, I could feel the active suspension quite literally fighting to keep the car flat through hard turns with the old ones because it was almost as though the sidewalls were just giving out. I took some windy country roads home this morning from an errand and even without Sport mode on the car was very predictable...point the wheel and turn, point and turn. I haven't tried to launch the car but last night engaged DSC TRAC and punched it hard from a low dig...no wheelspin like before just hook and go (which I expected).
Juddering from the rear from a stop, turning left or right is still there, but the tech told me that the software is up to date for my diff control module and it goes away after the car is warmed up. So I'm just going to chalk it up to the old cat warming up its muscles before it gets going :lol: I'm under warranty until 2019 so if it gets worse, doesn't go away or throws a code I'll report back.
Overall still super super pleased with this car. The only car I've owned that has come close to being as great was the TL-S. Just a few more visual things and maybe a tune and it will be set up the way I want it.
