So the best I can tell, these two 19 year-olds have no idea how to drive. Apparently the throttle got stuck, the brakes wouldn't work, and after reaching speeds of 100 mph they drove into the median and jumped out of the (still moving) car. Don't get me wrong - this sounds scary - but really? Couldn't drop a gear or turn the engine off? The 911 call is 17 minutes long or something and no one could come up with a better idea? Am I overlooking something here, or do you guys think this is as ridiculous as I do? :evileye:

Pretty soon they won't even bother putting an ignition switch in cars since people don't know how to use them.

I wOnder if anyone in the car thought to pop it into Neutral.

I Still can't believe that out of all these "runaway" throttle stories, no one remembers the ignition, gear selector, or emergency brake. Why is everyone's first thought to call 911 or attempt to jump out of the car?

it was in the Toyota thread.
So this isn't a repost because there wasn't another thread on it. You all fail.

Your typical overzealous description doesn't make it true. Lighten up, I can't even imagine why you would care the least bit about this.
