Sure - I usually start from Reston, but it's not at all uncommon to ride in to the Shirlington end of the W&OD, or take it further than that and do somthing like pick up 4 Mile run past the airport and up the Custis trail. I don't ever really ride *in* to the city, but any time we ride the Custis we go right past GTown.

We should ride into DC more. Can we rent an ambulance to follow us? Last cyclist pedaling wins the stage!

I don't like DC in a car, on a motorcycle and I doubt I'd like it on a pedal cycle.

Lets go to Starbux and hard park.

Only if we have expensive italian bicycles and matching kit - we're not there yet.

Just 'cause your bike was made in the back woods of the cheese state doesn't mean mine don't have heritage Wink

Are you doing any of their other races? I'm thinking about the last one of the year. No chance of me racing at fountainhead, unless they want to use me as a log when I get lapped.

No chance I'm doing any other races this year, but I highly recommend them. Great group... Coordinate with Al, I think he's hoping to do some more.

I do plan on doing a 24hr race next year. Teams are 5 deep. I would assume it'll be the same 3 as this race so we'll need 2 more heads.

I'd be interested in joining up for that effort, should you need the extra bike.

yep... each lap was arguably more painful than my half marathon last year.

I actually took mine out yesterday after 3 years (man they were dusty). Played 14 holes at FFX National (read cheap). No beer cart because there were 2 chicks out there carrying. Why would they do that? Spoiled it for all the guys that wanted a few beers while playing golf. There is a reason that women were not allowed on courses for a very long time.......

Indeed. Fuck RJ and his big ass foot. I hope the Lexus smells funny this morning. That muck was nastier than Paris Hilton's crotch.
