Was I being unprofessional in an offensive manner? If I was I apologize but anyways we have taken advice and worked out the date and lot which most wanted. I can't speak for the other two so go ahead and tell me if I'm wrong but there is a double standard here. You don't like if we don't update you, which I completely understand. But when we do update you, a select few don't like what we update them with and go off complaining. So do you suggest ignoring them or what? Looking for opinions on this that is all. It was said on here earlier you're not doing it right if you don't piss a couple people off, that includes some people here. We are doing what we think is best for the club and if you don't like it you can come to me and I will try to accommodate you by bringing it up with the other two. But in the end I think this will be a very successful car show.
Idk about you and Ryan. Thats for you two to figure out and also the sass? Again was that me? If so my apologies again.

I don't think anyone can accuse Anthony of being rude. Anyone doing that is trying to be offended. The dude's as chill as a cucumber. I think everything would be better off if the officers continue to update us as soon as something happens and very frequently(This is very important), and everyone else would take a second to digest it. I think there's a lot of frustration on both sides, which is causing everyone to be short fused and talk in ways they usually wouldn't.
I think the way things have gone the last week have been fantastic. The only thing I don't buy is when someone says they've been busy. We're all busy, we're in college, many of us with jobs we work a lot of hours in. Nobody is the exception.
Well said Taylor. We will continue to update as we get more information. And I agree about the being busy. We all have lives and different things to deal with.

I literally worked on a project for 7 hours straight today, worked 6 hours, contacted G-Force, had class, set up the FB event, edited WordPress, etc... Just to give an example of how some of my day went just today. We have made changes and are working to make this car show great. The first day alone already 150 people are expected to come. Whether or not you agree with the changes well I'm sorry but you aren't the only one in MM. While we do take people's opinions seriously (part of the reason why it took so long to decide on the date) some things. you are just going to have to deal with.
Sometimes I just don't know how to respond to how some people act on here because I just don't get it besides the fact you all want a better club but that doesn't really show well in how some people act on here towards officers.
I know I'm usually the one taking the brunt of everything too because I have to make the posts that need to be said as I'm usually the most active officer in here and maybe that's why I feel singled out at times and take it as an attack.
So, can we beat each other with sticks until this is all over because I'm not sure how to resolve some people's issues besides just saying deal with it... can't please everyone I guess.
I have reached out to some students. Just because it wasn't specifically you doesn't mean I haven't reached out for help.
You can't please everyone, and if you try to do anything leadership-y while trying to do so, you're gonna have a bad time.
The communication over the past week-ish has been really good. That's something that we should have seen more of earlier, and something for future officers to take note of - letting everyone know you're out there and just making an appearance goes really far. My dad always told me that showing up is 85% of the battle, and doing anything or being knowledgeable is the remaining 15%. It's true.
So, since we've got some progress on the show and other events, and we're all being kept in the loop on said progress, let's focus now on kicking some ass. It's far more productive to focus on "where do we go from here" instead of "how did this happen."
And Anthony, in response to your "or whatever grumpy alumni do at night" - this week I've reinstalled a diff in a Miata and put part of a Spec3 racecar back together. I missed every gosh-darn episode of Jeopardy this week. Now where's my Hoverround?

So, while we are awaiting something from Sam's friend if someone could throw together a quick draft flyer that would be awesome. I don't want to be ridiculously behind if Sam's friend does not work out or is taking too long. Most people need some type of flyer. Maybe we could use the quick draft as a "draft" flyer then when we get an official flyer later we can send it out again?

Just an FYI, try to upsell the AUTOX RACING RAWR AND CAR SHOW as one. It might help attract more. Stuff like boxerfest etc use those to help bring in more cars too.

Got it custom made for you. Can't say it won't fall apart especially with all the stuff coming out about that show.

Oh, I meant to say earlier - CALL ALL THE RADIO STATIONS!
Seriously, getting the word out on the local stations really made some past shows, IMO. Got a lot of local cars out, of which there are many, mostly owned by old guys who've never seen a message board.

 . I don't know what plans you have for music but we had one of the radio stations (Hot 100 something or other, I forget) DJ for us one year with their van and setup, it was pretty sweet.
Especially if they set up and are like "We're hear all day the the Madison Motorsports car show at JMU" on the air. That'd be sick.
WQPO does a lot of stuff like that, they could probably do it if someone hasn't contacted them already.
