I shouldn't have tried advice. Should just enjoy the ride
Those compression numbers look low, with lower compression it should be a good turbo motor. I heard Godspeed turbo kits on ebay are showing good results.

If I drain the oil out and replace it with Canola oil, do you think my compression numbers will come up? Maybe at least I could make some fried chicken in the oil pan.

haha, i messaged him outside of this. It's stupid easy to set up. Enter debit card number, find person, enter amount. Not sure how you make that easier. Click "participants only" if it bothers you that much.

Guys, I'm an idiot. I just realized I was so tired last night that I did the compression test without putting my foot on the gas pedal at all.
2 questions - are you holding the throttle open wide when you are cranking the motor during the compression test? Are the spark plug wells clean so the rubber o ring on the tester makes a good seal?
Edit - just saw you didn't put your foot on the pedal - yea, do that
Even if it comes back low, f-it, it's not the end of the world. If its driving well, enjoy it!
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

I've used it. I'm not saying it's not easy to use, it's just another service that that fills a need no one has. I don't need to route my money through any more third parties than absolutely necessary. I also hate that the default is to publicly share all of your transactions.
Yes, I'm a Luddite. Yes, I still carry cash. Get off my lawn and leave me alone.

Depends on what matters to you. If you park it now, you have a relatively easy fix, or you can drive it, drop a valve and destroy the entire motor. It could be a compression ring or a valve not seating.
Or it could be fine forever. However, with your car luck........

Yeah, do that and repeat the test and post compression numbers. Also do a leakdown test.

1.6L was available in Europe and Japan through 2004 I believe, so there is a chance there are more.
Ooh see it'd be JDM Taylor. That adds like 50 scene points to any car. My plan seems flawless.

It's probably not a good idea to autocross it like you posted on facebook until you figure out if it is an actual motor problem or just you not properly diagnosing a motor problem

I was using PayPal for so long then all the people my age were like why aren't you using Venmo...

Venmo is also much quicker than a PayPal transaction.
