In a curious turn of fate, I have an offer on the car that I cant ignore, and assuming all goes well it will be shipping off to a new home next week.

The car's running great, not leaking any oil right now and getting a solid unsolicited offer for a niche market car means I should take it and run before going any further into the rabbit hole. Its been a great car and I'll miss it, despite all the skin lost from my knuckles fixing various leaky seals. Its never let me down and the only CEL in 3+ years was from a stuck open thermostat, so fuck the haters :lol:

Going to go pick up a new golf alltrack in its place. $6k off sticker & 0% financing & warranty. It'll go to APR after the first oil change for a downpipe and tune.

It retains the factory warranty in writing, whereas if you ask about the warranty with the full APR tune you get a wink and a slap on the ass. The catch is you have to have it done before you take delivery of the car.

Seriously good for you for letting it go. I swear cars will make a level headed man completely bipolar based on if they're running well or not. Can someone explain the alltrack to me? What market is it serving? Not a slight, just a question.

Having a wagon is fucking awesome. It drives like a car but has enough storage to carry shit for bike races/dogs/camping/road trips/Home Depot/IKEA/etc.

Problem is America hates wagons and manual transmissions so if that's yore thing then this is it. Most people want less storage and utility in an SUV.

Looks like 300ft-lbs and 260hp at the wheels with the apr chip and a downpipe. That'll do.

I'm sad I never met the Audi. Like really.

I actually just came to the conclusion the other day that the golf sportwagen is, in my opinion, damn perfect daily driver right now. Only competition would be the F series wagon.

Back to the APR warranty thing. So, I buy from one of their listed dealers and then after purchase and install I can take it to my local VW dealer ?!?!?

From back when i was looking into it, yes. You're just covered under a different warranty.
