What is your car buying future?

I can't say I'll have a track car, we'll see. I'm just not missing the track really.
Suzuki V-strom or Honda CRF150 depending on if I'm living out in Botetourt as I hope to be.
Seems likely I'll be tired of the 2002 in 3 years. Just going on my track record here, NO car has made it that long.
All came true! Which probably means I'm boring. Ended up with a TTR250 instead of a CRF. :dunno:

I'm with you on that, and the Benz seems pretty cool.
*IF* I have money to put into anything, my 5 year plan would now include the Tesla model E, or frankenstein BMW 3.0CS. Ideally a Tesla drivetrain in a 3.0CS? :dunno: And while I may not make the GRM challenge this year with my/Taylor's busted Miata, I will, and that will be my track autox car.

I will probably keep my Silverado and after Samantha's car is paid off we'll look into either a C6 Corvette or a 00-03 or so 911 Carrera Convertible. I'd love to get back into another Convertible and by then either should be able to be had at $20k with decent miles.

Well I ended up back in the Corvette game back in 2013, not so much by choice but necessity, so I guess that keeps me on track with getting back in the sports car game. Haven't gone with a C6 but my best friend from high school was selling his 2001 911 Carrera Coupe about 5 months ago and I almost bit the bullet on it. Drove it for about a week and couldn't convince the wife we needed it more than a truck. Within the last 3 months I've sold my F150 and the Corvette so we are down to 2 cars. I will be moving offices on August 1st which will cut my commute down from 60 miles each way to 12, so we are in the market for a newer truck right now. Looking for a 2011ish F150 or Silverado, crew cab, 4x4, for around 23-28k. Two or so years down the road we will be looking to pick up something sporty and fun either as a third car for around 15k, or trade Sam's Lexus for a IS-F or something along those lines to have a fun car and keep the garage count at 2.

I'll probably trade the 848 for some sort of BMW sport tourer as well.

#nailedit... for the most part... and I even predicted that we would move (although it was six months, not two years).

Ended up with an A4 wagon. Did the best I could.

Couldn't have ever guessed I'd be rocking my mom's 15 year old RAV4.

New future: This thing was inherited. Shit, I may really be stuck in it, but considering I drive at most 200 miles a month and the reliable utility provided for pretty much free, I'd have a really hard time justifying spending a dollar on anything else. I could potentially see picking up a cheap toy for funsies/dates (Miata or something old/project).

I would still love another bike but Lauren would kill me herself to save her the stress of worrying about me on one in NOVA traffic. At any rate that window of opportunity slammed shut the second I decided to sign papers on a brand new VW like a dipshit.

no idea on the Evo II import prices to be honest. but the one we got was the neutered, no-flares 190E 2.3-16v that makes about 180hp and they're definitely 20x cheaper than an E30 M3 due to being balls slow, comparitively. you can convert them over to euro power specs but its still not the "real deal" experience.

you shut your mouth about my escort! 90's cars NEED bi-level wings and flares or we'll upset the space time continuum.

Because why not join in. Some type of Honda racecur. Silverado 2500HD Diesel. Not really sure after that since I plan on DDing a truck for awhile and keeping it. If I ever got a BMW though it would be an e46 m3. Maybe some sort of hot hatch? Maybe not.... Idk I have so many vehicles in mind it's hard to say. C5 Z06s pique my interest. Anyways, I'd like to realistically acquire in the future is some type of Cayman gt whatever, f-type, or a newer z06....

Edit: forgot about my last for an s2k for so long. Probably pick one up for a DDing eventually

Newer Tacoma or some pickup. I can't imagine ever NOT owning a truck. Maybe a 4runner.

I definitely want a 944 some time. I wanted one even before I wanted a Miata. I know it sounds dumb, but I want to own a Civic at one point too. Nothing gets me off like reliability. I also want to have a Fox Body because I want to make it a point to have every type of motor, and I need to check V8 off the list.I like the styling and the 302 Windsor is an iconic motor.

I also want another BMW. Probably an E46 330i ZHP. I'm not sure if I want to get tangled up in that M car nonsense.

Phrasing dude.

I would really like to grab an e90 m3 in the near future. However with the new job having me on the road everyday I'm not sure the MPG would be doable. A Cayman S would be a great weekend car I could see in the next 5 years. Or an F type since they are depreciating like crazy. I would like a Chevy 1500 or maybe a Colorado for house hold duties but that will probably wait until we move to a larger house.

Have you kept your eye on them recently? Every now and then I will do a search, I think the last I saw they were still low-mid 60s for the V6 S (which IMO is the one you want, 380hp V6 in that car would be great fun)

Nice! Black and white seem to be the most common, both of which would be fine choices. I have this thing for Italian Racing Red though after having test driven a new XFR in that color before I bought my old one:
