Workers will have parking stickers and park between the food shack and the control tower (in the grass/gravel) in the main paddock.

I can't remember if the gate for the paddock is open late in the day Saturday? Anyone know? My girlfriend is coming up Saturday afternoon. She already has a pass but will they let her in the gate once the shenanigans start? Also, I can't tell I'd the ticket I got is my vip pass to get into the food tent. I thought we give the tickets to the people at the gate so how do we get into food tent then? am I missing a ticket?

Yeah last time Laura sent me info about working and stuff. I thought i just hadn't gotten the email yet. She sent me a ton of stuff to handout for hyperfest and it had my name and "grid" written on it. I dont know if that was just so she could remember who i is. Uhh she knows i asked to work this weekend, we've emailed a ton... Sooo yeeaaahhhh

The gate for the paddock is open all day. They have some cops sitting up there checking for the paddock parking pass. She should be fine as long as she has that.

The "sooo yeeaah" part was a nervous "sooo yeeaahh" i dont know someone help me. I emailed laura for clarification so i guess i'll know soon. *shrug*

Yeah Taylor you are a spectator. Matt you are a spectator too? Am I considered one as well since I'm still paying for the gate fee? Or am I allowed to stay the night on Friday?

Anyone can stay the night Friday. It says gates open Saturday because that's the official day of Hyperfest. Friday is NASA stuff per usual.

Soooo now I have a n00b question -- with the guest pass that got mailed to the registered drivers of the event, does that person have to be with you when you pull into the gates, or can they show up Saturday and use it for free entry.

That's a good question. This has all been very different from the other years so I have no idea. Last year we (at least me) only got the one pass that was surrendered at the gate. Now supposedly workers/maybe drivers too need some sort of vip pass for the post Saturday after party. I only have entrance passes so I'm guessing that's my vip pass too? My gf will also be coming in on Saturday so idk how all this will work

Gate pass/Guest Pass #1== entrance into SP w/o paying the $25 and getting a refund later (or forgetting about it)
Gate Pass/Guest Pass #2 == for crew member, but not sure if they have to be present at same time
VIP pass = for the NASA awards party thing

I think you can use the guest pass at any time. I gave one to someone through the fence last year because we had an extra.

This is my guess, and I think I'm reading your post correctly...

You have 2 guest passes -- one is for you, and one you give to your GF to present at the gate whenever she shows up. Since you are a worker maybe they didn't send you a "VIP Pass" since it's basically garunteed entry for people in the worker shirts to get in.

If your GF wants to attend the party she might need a VIP pass... and if it comes down to it, she can have mine.

I have 2 guest passes and 3 vip passes lol. Laura thought she would use my girlfriend to work somewhere Saturday so I guess she sent all her stuff just in case she needed her to work.

I'm guessing the third vip pass is an accident.
