Justin - very sorry to hear about this. We can move shenanigans to a restaurant near G-Force, no sweat.

That's terrible. Do what you need to do and don't worry about us, we can crash a local restaurant if we want.

well that was completely awesome, totally worth the drive. great meeting you new students (and parents) and catching up with the alumni, it's been a while. i was really impressed with the turnout. Justin, Shea, and Matt represented team Porkchop Sammiches with some great lap times. Justin, thanks for driving with us considering the news and my condolences to your friend's dad. the karts were driving really nice and hooked up better every session. by the later sessions just about everyone was consistently turning some fast times, great work guys and gals.

off they go!!

i had a blast battling it out one session with someone (maybe Jake or Samuel? can't remember the kart number) that involved a little extended contact and bump drafting. we were playing tag over the course of a few laps and at one point i made a hasty pass on the inside of the pit-out hairpin and cut across the front of the other kart - got nicely punted sideways. so, sorry i cut you off there  but a great battle. Samuel and G had a tremendous bout for a few laps starting with Samuel banzaii'ing a corner and G coming back with vengence (video to come). i am sore as hell in my lats (i guess from hanging onto the steering wheel for my life?) and back but i'll suffer proudly.

1st: First Place
2nd: Porkchop Sammiches (1 lap down)
3rd: Stratus Fear (2 laps down)
best lap was put up by someone in Stratus Fear at a 26.856

i tried to take pictures of everyone, but due to my POS old camera they will be presented to you in blur-o-vision from the only vantage point that my flash could light up. you can see everyone here:

great job current officers putting this together and although i couldn't be at the pre-race or post-race festivities i'm sure there were shenanigans aplenty. now i'm going to pass out.

Karting is always a great time! Thanks to all those that made it happen! My arms are sore as hell and my back has a huge bruise on it. I guess the hockey pants didn't come up far enough...

here's some video I got of Samuel and G. i really wish i had a decent camcorder.

i don't have Samuel's initial dive bomb but it's still fun to watch.

I *think* Chris got that sweet 26.8 lap. He and John were blazing fast on our team.

Yes, it was Chris who ran the 26.8 - he was (and did!) trying to catch the #40. Thank you so much for filming that battle with G - that was intense and I got to shake his hand afterwards. Someone said they have a huge bruise on their back...they are not the only one. All worth it though.

Those were good times - great to see everyone new and old, and karting was as always a blast. The new (to me) course and karts were a definite challenge but more satisfying than before once I got the line down.

is anyone working on the laptime breakdown, I am curious to see everyones best times, I had a blast, aside from my 2 really bad pit stops. but I am happy with my time, the new karts were great.

I never even got a results sheet, G did you get one, I know you've put it together in the past? We would need a breakdown of who drove when for each team as well.

I have a results sheet, but we need the "who drove when" bit before we do anything.

Really great turnout for this one! I had a ton of fun, although that third 15 minute stint really did me in. The new karts are good but a lot bumpier through turns where the old ones would just slide. So, maybe there's more traction but damn if it doesn't beat you up. Thanks to Kristin's parents for hosting us Friday night (and for the shenanigans that ensued) and we'll have to do it all over again in the spring. Considering Summit Point Kart as an option, provided they can match pricing.

Great event as usual. Well organized and a blast to see everybody again, wish I could have figured that track out a little better. Hope to make it back out again next time.
