It's that time of year again... the one MM event you don't want to miss:

Yep, MM goes Karting at G-Force!!
Mark your calendars if you haven't already. The date is November 13, a Saturday. We will be karting from 11 AM to 1 PM. All drivers need to be at G-Force by 10:30 AM so we have ample time to get organized and run through the requisite safety briefing.
Cost is $30 for students (who have paid dues) and $40 for alumni. You can give us money at our meetings (cash or check) or you can PayPal. The PayPal address is <!-- e --><a href="mailto:madisonmotorsports@gmail.com">madisonmotorsports@gmail.com</a><!-- e -->.
Now, since we had so many flakes last time - ended up with some absurd number like 17 out of 40 actually show up to race (WTF?!) - we are making payments NON-REFUNDABLE. That means if you commit now, you put it on your calendar and don't back out at the last minute because your girlfriend's brother's wife's chihuahua's pet rabbit discovered a more pressing event on November 13th.
Or, you can indeed attend the other event and miss our day of greatness, but you won't get your $30 or $40 back. The cost to rent all of G-Force is massive for a club of our caliber, and it was incredibly difficult to make ends meet last semester with so many people backing out last-minute.
Sorry for being tough, but this is how it's gotta happen apparently.
SO! On to the signups. We are doing the typical 2 hour, 40 people enduro format. We'll start by offering 20 student spots and 20 alumni spots, and if we need to change ratios due to interest, we can/will.
You are not guaranteed a spot until you pay us, so keep that in mind!

Edited Jake's post with the students who have already paid. Please note that your name will not go on the list until we have money, that means no "I'll paypal you tomorrow"....great, you'll go on the list tomorrow too.
I am arbitrarilly setting Oct. 30 as the date which this will open up to "friends of MM," until then we will reserve spots for only current students and alumni but at that point we'll open to friends, parents, kids, and sig others.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 13th!

Noob question, how does the enduro format work when you guys usually do this as far as race time/driver switches?
Thinking about it, I've got to update my dues anyways
FYI to those with the stones, Super Mario/Luigi halloween costumes will be on closeout a week or two before this event...looks like Jake's got dibs on Mario!

They show a checkered flag every 15(?) minutes indicating you have 2-3 laps to complete a driver change. Pit in, change, gogogo. You'll drive for two 15-minute sessions.

Also...
Pre-race party at mi casa Friday night around 6/7 ish? Till whenever we pass out. My 'rents said they would get some/ make some food and supply some beer, however we can make a run and get additional beer or bring some down. We might do a bonfire/fire pit too-yay for s'mores! I live like 10 minutes from G-force, so I figured it would be easier to crash at my place Friday night and wake up later and head to g-force in the AM. So bring a pillow, sleeping bag, etc. There is a bedroom for guests, but it's first dibs on that. Uh...so yeah..let me know if you are in, so I can get a head count to tell mis padres how much food/drank to get.
