personally Id rather have the rear X go from the top of the main hoop, not from harness bar level. I really dont think that goign from the harness bar is buying you anything much, and coming fromt he main hoop it will help rollover strength

but im impressed with how its coming so far! looks damn good. did you take time off work to do it?

looks damns sick, im assuming you are gonna clean up the welds and paint the cage, when you paint the car?

Thats what the X is going to do now. I redesigned it. I have an X coming off the top of the hoop going to the rear shock towers, then I have bars going straight back from the top of main hoop to shock towers, then from shock towers down the the floor mount for the main hoop.

Everything is tacked in place now (MIG), it all still needs to be Tiged in place.

so your gonna tig it yourself??? very nice, i really wanna learn hwo to weld, my dad has a big ass miller tig and mig setup but i havent gotten the balls to try it yet.

Cage was finished (being welded) at 3am Friday night. We started cleaning and painting Sat am around 9:30, that took quite a while and a ton of paint. Here's some pics,

Chad that looks fantastic, great job - Ready to get rolled in the comp school? Smile

I think I used 2 cans of primer and 5-6 cans of regular paint on the car.

I have until next monday to signup for comp school. We will see how far along I get on the car before I signup. I have a rub on the front bumper right now that I have to get taken care of and I need an alignment bad. To much stuff, not enough time...

I'll be at VIR for HPDE3. Weather I do CompSchool on Friday is still up in the air. I don't want to be worrying about compschool antics and weather or not the car is going to fall apart, b/c if I don't finish there went $350 down the shitter

good luck in the comp skool. car will be fine im sure. ( acouple people in my school didnt finish the day due to either busted cars or stuffing their cars and they still passed)
