Andy did you get a chance to drive one? How is the interior quality?

I did. The interior with the red leather interior is surprisingly nice though the ergonomics is weird in that bad way.

Don't get me wrong, I love weird ergonomics like the shifter on the console and the new SI's big ass tach up high, but the Saturn's buttons and stuff were all in weird places that weren't hard to reach but annoyingly too far. The power window switches are clear behind you. I had to operate the windows with my right hand. Considering how low you like to sit in your Integra, you'll like the Sky. The belt line was almost to my shoulder-almost as if I was a midget but it didn't impede my vision but I drove it the entire time with the top down.

The car drives good though. Much firmer than the new Miatas but you do notice the weight.

I actually gave this one a ton of thought. Really, I have an emotional attachment to the Chrysler Corporation. Not DaimlerChrysler...but the "old Chrysler." I long for the gone by days when the Pentastar adorned our products proudly. I call them "our" you see. I'm the person who would proudly wear the bumper sticker "Buy American before it is too late!" So really, I don't think you could ever get me to buy an Asian branded car unless it was a Mitsu/Chrysler. Even that is a stretch. I have no real love for DSMs. A Conquest or D-50 are the only real winners in my heart from that partnership.

That having been said, I was never interested in any European brand mark before joining MM. I truly think I could own an e30 or e36 with no problems. But they would need to be M3s... I couldn't own one as a daily driver POS. So, I could never really call any other brand's cars "My car." They would be "the other car I own...just for Sundays or whatever." I'm a very sentimental person, I think it is sentiment more than anything else that makes me feel the way I do.

i know youre post is describing brand loyalty more than domestic vs import, but i remember reading an article saying that the toyotas made in kentucky and i think it was illinois which i believe are the sienna, camry and corolla (their best selling models) utilize more domestic suppliers and domestic employees than fords do.

My civic has more American parts than a new Ford Mustang does (Oh Canada!)

You personally?

Did you come out of the Chrysler Mitsubishi union?

p.s. He also said the "D50" which was a kick-ass truck! The funny thing is that all of the Mitsu/Chrysler products he likes don't have any Chrysler in 'em!

I don't care if you and your mother are offended. DSMs are fine cars, they are just not my interest. Also, I never said I didn't like modern Chrysler. Sylvia wants an Aspen...and I will prolly have a 300 as a Demo. So, then the OG Chrysler is gone (which will never really happen...) then I will just get a new one. It just does not feel the same as even a cloud car or an intrepid...but they were real pieces of shit.

Not really. Sense I said they would be the only Asian cars I would buy I think it fits right into what I was asked.

Was trying to make my self feel better about the van breaking for the second time under my ownership when I stumbled on some drag videos of the van in my avatar. His son is filming as he flys down the strip on street tires and pump gas. The boy says "he better hit 13's" Then the numbers come up of the board. "Damn! only a 14.05!" I smiled. 2.5L w/ ball bearing GT series turbo.

I think the Conquest is a way good looking car. The mechanic for one of the NASA MA rich guys, the guy with the Noble, the AMG E55, etc has a black Magnum Hemi that is pretty badass and I really like the old superhero looks of the 300...so rock on Jeff.
