No longer onyachin.
so the integra is in the garage finally. We did a little work here and there.
the super cheap header... wrapped and sealed.
Laid out some aerocatch hood pins... measure 30 times, cut once
It might seem pretty far back for you integra nerds... but that's because I'm using an extension. long story short, the deflection of the hood makes a cleaner install if they are farther back. Also the bolts for the hood pins hit the headlight housings.
you might have spied the greddy catch can. I made a stainless steel baffle for it since they come without baffles. just some mesh folded up into the container.
cutting holes... drilling holes...
Macco paint... boys and girls, don't take your cars there. they lay it on THICK
I'm using self etching primer under the hood. somehow i'll touch that up flake and follow on with my plans for the hood/roof/hatch.

Progress looks good! Always wanted to watch someone cut up their for a scoop or pins like that. I can only imagine how many times measurements were checked.

They are doubled over. When I tug on them the core support flexes before the brackets.

Core support was never meant to flex that way
Just giving you shit. If we didn't give shit on project cars, MM wouldn't be the same :

and lets pray that it never flexes that way again! If you guys didnt give me shit i'd worry about you all.
The next step is to strip the front bumper, front fenders, pull the rear bumper... and prep for chassis saving/rust elimination. I'll probably also just pull the hood and sand/prime it. the slippery slope kicked in with installing hood pins... its just my luck.

If anyone from harrisonburg goes up to supervise Kaan, throw those bottlecaps in your trunk for me please.

I'd be willing to bet my brother would pick them up from Kaan sometime before he comes to visit Hannah next. If someone doesn't pick them up before then, I'll mention it.

Wish I had known. We were out there Sunday and Julianne was at JMU all day Monday. I was wondering why Kaan had bottlecaps hanging out. :dunno:
