I honestly don't understand why people get into all of this rage with drones, Google Glass, or whatever. When you're in public, anyone else has the right to film you. Now they don't have the right to use your likeness commercially, which may be where people are getting mixed up. People see blurred out faces in videos and think that the recorder didn't get permission to record those people, when in reality they didn't get permission to publish the video. They can record all they want.

I mean, I don't see people out there smashing up CCTV cameras or smacking iPhones out of people's hands. I don't condone sticking your recording device in someone's face or impeding them but I can't see how destroying someone else's expensive equipment is the right thing to do. That's how violent encounters over dumb shit happen.

Just because something is legal doesn't mean most people agree that it's right or courteous. *I* would expect some animosity and odd looks if I walked around filming people....because I too don't want people filming me. Doubly annoyed when they "tag" me on facebook. The only reason I'm NOT smashing CCTVs, people's iPhones, and drones is because it's their personal property. But if I had some good way to block or disable them without damage I sure would.

You're allowed to stand on the street corner and stream obscenities at all passers by but don't expect me to be super happy with you when my kids are with me.

Yes, because you are a sane person, who respects the rule of law. I agree that people taking pictures or videos can be dicks about it, but I don't get people who get violent about it. I remember there being a couple of incidents of people with Google Glass getting assaulted a few years ago, although they could've just been assaulted for looking like cyborgs.

I get your point G and I don't go around drone videoing people, but wouldn't you be pissed enough to do something about it if some guy was flying a drone next to your property and filming your wife and baby in the backyard? Or what if it was flying over your property? I can see why these things get shot down

Eh, I would just close the blinds. Or I would get my own drone to go up and joust with the other drone. Discharging a firearm at something in the sky around here would probably earn me an unwanted interaction with the police.
