Gotta knock in some new wheel studs, replace oil pain gasket and not get hypothermia while doing it.

I couldn't sleep... got in at 6:30 so it should be a short one. Wrote 100 test cases, watched an episode of Afro Samurai, threw some bids up on eBay and here I am. The weird guy just came in, I said "Hello" he made a grunt noise and started laughing... He's really f'ing weird. He's just sitting at his desk talking to himself now. FUCK.
Car-wise, my dust boots should come in tonight so following a small dinner at Tysons and Pan's Labyrinth, I'll fix the one caliper, relube all of the other sliders and finally get the car back on the ground. I plan on driving it the next two weeks to work out kinks. Need to mount my tires, mount my harness, figure out a sleeping arrangement for Thursday night, attempt to get the rear radiator hose completely on (it's a bitch, I have it 3/4, which should work, but better safe than sorry), and get inspected.
I did this "15 minutes of car work per night" thing for the past few months and it worked really well. I got A LOT done, but never really felt like I invested as much time as I did.
This weekend will be a birthday/grad party for one of Caitlin's cousins on Saturday and then Sunday a funeral for a friend.
I need to figure something out for v-day as well... Anyone down for Dremo's in Arlington on Thursday for my b-day?

It's my last day at work! I start a new job on Monday!
I put a new fuel filter in the bike and got a good look at the valve seat/shim wear when I had the valve cover off.. not enough time to install new shims, though. I removed the PAIR valve, too, which is some assortment of obnoxious vacuum lines put there to get in your way... oh, and make the air cleaner, or some shit. I may not have capped something off well enough, though, it idles a little differently than I think it should right now.
Oh, and this was great. Over the past two days I pushed the bike inside, put it on a stand, took it off the stand, pushed it out to the backyard, then pushed it back inside a day later and put it back on the stand - and somehow got a flat while doing it.
As far as the car... I finally got a new tire put on a wheel that's had a flat for a few months so I can put the steel wheel back in the trunk. I've got a new steering rack and new front end joints (lower ball joints, upper arms, outer tie rod ends) that I'm going to try and put on next Friday.

It's a bar w/ lots of good beers on tap. They have "bar food," pool, darts, jukeboxes, and shuffleboard.

Half day at work for me today, then heading up to pick up my new tires, loading up the trailer, and heading down to VIR for a fun cold weekend.
Replaced my hubs last weekend and flushed out the brakes with new fluid. The hubs were long overdue for replacing as I could hear the bearings grinding when just turning it by hand and torquing the hub at an angle to induce flex. I have 90% of the parts necessary for my new suspension, just waiting on my rear strut mounts. After that, the cats go back on with fresh O2 sensors and I'm putting street pads back on... otherwise I'll never pass California inspection.

yeah... the interview was ok. he was smart, but kinda odd. then we checked his references and his last job said he was fired, but he maintains that he quit... we decided we weren't going to hire him until one day my boss came in and said "xxx starts on this day." my jaw hit the floor, and i am now realizing why his only professional reference was a bad one.

In other news, I was going to go to THSCC's VIR-F event his weekend. ThankGOD I didn't. Freezing my nuts off wrenching on the car this past week would've been the big suck.
Also, the Konis that I just put on the car are dodgy as hell. I gotta fool around with the settings more. The adjustable rebound but noneadjustable compression takes a little bit to get use to.
