uh why? I have done this all summer to be honest. let me guess, bad on rotors? Also it doesn't matter, I'm selling the brake kit after november, I've had it for 2.5 years and 17 track days and I finally realized I need something better with more pad selection and lower price. (kinda funny i just re-read that sentence. usually when you get something better, the price is higher, but If i bought brembo, stoptech or wilwoods, the price on rotors and pad selections would make up for it)
Regards to the november event.. if group 3 isn't filled up by 7-10 days prior to the event, then jon is opening 1 day registration and I'll be signing up for sunday. I have a 10x10 canopy that I will be bringing as well.

My Hawk Blues ate 1/4 in into both sides of the rotors and the pads were gone after about 4 or 5k miles. If you aren't going to use them in the future then no big deal.

another data point: i ran "race" pads on the hatch for probably four years of street use. i've never replaced a rotor and the pads didn't wear any extra amount.

yay data points! i've had the same superblue in my car since the beginning of time. i only every get new stuff in the system when i replace a caliper, which is not often and not a large amount. i've never boiled fluid. yes, i suppose my car weighing next to nothing might have had something to do with it. but yeah, switching to superblue for street and track use can't hurt.

I was just about to message adam about this. I checked my rotors the other day and I've been running race pads for pretty much 5 months and the rotors are completely fine. Adam what pads were you running because my carbotech xp10s seem to be rotor friendly

i was also running xp10s.

Work great on the track, but they are super aggressive on the rotors and they completely ate / ruined the finish on my wheels. The last time to the track I made sure to switch them back to street pads as soon as I drove home. I'll try some Carbotechs when my 2nd set of the Hawks is done.

I know some of us were there last year when Cale was involved in that accident. Its definitely a worthy cause to contribute to if you're thinking of coming out for touring laps.

I just emailed Jon, but maybe you guys know...
I want to hedge my bet by having a backup car tech'ed and ready to go. Is that allowed?
I'm sure they allow it for racing, hopefully it's a can-do for HPDE as well. I'm sure they don't want everyone showing up with two cars, but I doubt that's a real issue they've had to address.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...
