right, but this liaison thing doesn't add that... if someone wants to be there, they'll show up and learn. it isn't brain science...

Of course - I think this is just one more way of generating some interest in heading to the track, and getting newer members a start.

it's not hate, it's just a genuine interest in WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON.

Some guys are going to the track, and some other guys are showing up at the track sometime.

Well there's this program. And the people who have spent a lot of time at the track want to contribute to it. These people say "yeah, I'd love to help somebody get their feet wet in motorsports" and then they say "what can we do to accomplish that better?" This guy Aaron steps up and says
"I have a cool way to make it happen!"
and people say
"What, what?"
And Aaron says it's a liason program. Now, don't mind you me, but that's a pretty big word and I'm not sure what your idea of it is. So you should tell me. I mean, I'm better at riding a motorbike around in complicated circles than I am at talking to college freshmen. So help me help them, since there's this awesome thing.
So what is it? We just want to know because we really want to help people get involved.
Really.
Should we show them Vixens?
When it comes to Ryan Jenkins, the story ends with me putting him in the wall.

I guess you need IcyHotSunnaTS clearance to know that information.

If you have an available spot in your crew then speak up.... in the liaison program thread. Since Aaron is busy heres what is gonna happen. One of the three liasons will be assigned to a person participating in the event. They will be your shadow for the day, you tell them what to do, Like, "Hand me this wrench" or "Chug bitch", and how to help and answer any questions they may have and get to know them. And thats how it will work. However im signed up to help out but I cant leave til 11, Aaron and Jon (a new member) will be there early saturdya morning as far as I know. I am pretty sure this whole liason thing is just a fancy name and a way to get people to go to the track. its easier to pressure people to participate if they have "Signed up" to go than it is to just say hey come to the track this weekend. Make sense? Good. I didnt wanna speak up because im not sure if Aaron and I are on the same page.

That is kind of what I thought.
To make this go smoothly though you're going to want the person(s) you are to work with know ahead of time so they can make arrangements, know when to expect you, let you guys know where/when to find them, etc.

Look, I wasn't trying to start ANYTHING, this 'liason' idea has been talked about for MONTHS, several have asked what the heck it was, nobody was able to respond, this was one of Aarons election points yet it was never outlined. Had you guys communicated this ahead of time we could have told you that you need to pair up a little sooner than 4 days before the event, as I'm sure most crew spots are full. But whatever, I'm just a big hater and anytime I ask questions it's to start shit. Good luck w/ your program.
