Hyperfest - from Harrisonburg
#1
Guys, if you're attending hyperfest and you're leaving from Harrisonburg, go ahead and sign up.

We are planning to leave here at 11am on Saturday. Rockingham Hall lot.

How are you going to do any crewing/flagging if you're only going to show up for a few hours?

it was my impression that we were doing most of the helping on sunday, which is why we are leaving later on saturday.

the hyperfest stuff is only saturday. sunday is a regular track day, essentially. sundays are usually much more low key on any track weekend though as most of the stuff is sorted out from saturday's events.

+1 for definitely leaving earlier than 11.

There's stuff going on all day saturday while sunday is much more low key. I don't think you would have to be there early enough for the drivers meeting if you all don't have jobs saturday, but I'd try to get there during the morning.

if you're working please be there on-time and leave before 6am for the 7:45 or 7:15 all-hands meeting. MM has a reputation to uphold.

im not working, and all the people leaving from harrisonburg in our group arent working. We are just going to attend and help in the pits and try out the liason program. Aaron, i think its just gonna be me you and Jon leaving from h-burg. everyone else is leaving from a different location.

i've asked a bunch of times before but never gotten a straight answer, but what specifically is supposed to happen with the liason program?

Show up late and stand around for a few hours just to say you were there? :dunno:

yeah i've seen the thread. i've posted in it too.

if you guys want to flag, thats not any of MM's business and a seperate liason program is already in place through NASA to train flaggers. that will also mean that you cant roll up at 11 as the day is half over by then. if you wanna hang out, then that also doesnt need a liason program either. thats how most of us got our start. i'd be happy to pitch in where i can, but as an instructor, you're pretty busy most of the time. but any free time i have, i'd love to help as stated in the other thread as well. but i've asked time and time again. what is this program entail? how can i help?

if there are concrete goals set for this program, then i'm all ears and would love to give some input for it. seeing as how i'm one of the more season veterans in MM and i guess therefore a mentor, i'd like to know how i can help with the program.
