Project 99 GSX AKA "MN3Y PIT"

^^ LOL. I agree that harnessess aren't necessary but I have definitely enjoyed mine and still think its one of the best things I've done to the car. I went with the 4 point because the stock seat has no access for a 5th point and I really don't feel I need since I only use it for auto-x anyways. If I decide I want to put a 5th point in all I have to do is buy the extra strap and a mount... so we'll see. Also, these harnessess have the ASM technology for what thats worth. You'll really like them Justin, especially with leather seats.

Goddamn Justin, your car breaks down all the freaking time. LOL I "may" have blown up a rear end. Although my car does have little glitches very now and then that go away like the next day I drive it or stupid STUPID t-bolt clamps that strip.

Oh and I know its shitting up your thread Justin, but does anyway know of a shop around harrisonburg or NOVA that is real good at clearances and doing differentials. I want to send out my old differential to see if its actually bad. If its not, ill be throwing it back in, I hate this 2-way/welded.

i don't think it is, but it's an easy and cheap fix so you might as well start there.

Smile if it doesn't work, try a dsm board. the way you described the fluctuation, it doesn't sound like a bad thermostat, but maybe they fail in odd ways sometimes? maybe it's just sticky and it's sticking both opened and closed?

you know...if you had dsmlink we could check, even backcheck by setting coolant offset differently to see.

Is your fan kicking on? If your fan is not working, especially with you have a/c with that front mount, your going to overheat. No matter if the thermostat is working.

It could be your thermostat and its a real cheap part, but id check the fan first.

didn't he say it's fine just sitting but when he gives it gas it overheats? a car without a fan will overheat just sitting still.

He said give it gas while sitting there, or that is at least what I read from it. Mine idled fine, but if I revved it when I didnt have the fan in, it would quickly overheat. I was trying to get some of my fuel trims right and so I was freerevving at 4,000 rpm to get my stft trims right and I didnt even notice my coolant getting to 220 degrees. Until I heard a gugrgling sound. oops. lol.

well just idling itll be fine, fans would kick in, then give it a lil gas it would creep up, let off the gas and it would continue to creep. So much for trying to fix it today

well we'll see if its fixed in a couple days when it isnt 30 degrees outside...i also need to find a diff way to mount my overflow tank, i cant get to it to fill it up and its to big to fit in the stock location due to the IC piping and intake.

where do you have it mounted? I have mine mounted in the stock smic location and when I need to fill it up just take off the radiator cap and there will be a line that runs, just keep filling it up slowly and it will fill up the overflow.
