1999 BMW M3 - Hellrot on Black 138k Miles $14k
#41
So bump.....  The M3 is going to be back on the market soon.  Impending new house purchase, wife and I both changing jobs, a 1 year old and the RV life (for a happy wife at the track) is calling.

Everything is the same as initially listed, except I've driven it an additional 2k over the last 18 months,  new Z3M radiator/expansion tank/ hoses (because E36), and new tires.

It's spent maybe 4 nights total not garaged under my ownership and was driven in the rain once.

Regarding the collision "total loss"  I've spent the last year dealing with Carfax, who have been completely unhelpful in providing any sort of details regarding any details or why it's listed in a completely different state from it's ownership during that time.  Autocheck is completely clear. The M3 has a clear Virginia title.

Oh, and if you don't think values aren't rising:

Ugh, these are going to slip out of my grasp arent they. I am going to be that old asshole that had a low mileage Dinan Supercharged Alpine white m3 and sold it for $12k and will be $40k in a couple years.

Not sure on pricing, a rusty one just sold for $8.5k, and the one I posted went for $21.5k, but it'll be somewhere in between there.  I'll have having "glamour shots" taken in a couple weeks and a price figured out.  In the mean time, if anyone is serious, I'm more than happy to talk and see if we can figure it out.

Yeah....  I'm on the fence, but I already have two cars in "investment" storage.  The smart part of my brain said it's time to move it on, but in a couple years I'll regret it.

Since you are looking for a white one:

IMO there is no way they will hit E30 M3 pricing.  There were just way too many of them made to be scarce enough to go for that much.

Everyone said the same thing about Porsche 964 911's, then narrow body 911's, then 928's...

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Considering sub-100k examples are going in the $18-22k range already and spiking, you already missed out.  I do think the entire used market though is overpriced.  Mainly because I just wish every car was $5k so I could enjoy and then dump and enjoy again.
