So progress is being made. Cleaned the carb and ripped a fuel line in the process, so I gotta run to the store tomorrow and get new line + filter. Gonna order a petcock soon to hopefully stop the leak. That'll mean all new parts between the tank and the carb I think. Lost a little O ring on the banjo bolt on top of the carb so I had to order a whole new fitting. It was cheap, but of course I found the o ring as soon as the new one came in. There was a small thing that looked like a filter that was a different color in the old one, so that may have been gunked up anyway.
Ordered a set of 2 3x2 LED rock lights from amazon for an amazing $12. These are the "spot" kinda as I didnt want to blind anyone, but they're still bright as hell testing them with a 9v battery.
Here's where I'm gonna need help. I've never done any wiring other than sub installs, so I can't read a wiring diagram to save my life, and I don't think any of this wiring is the original colors anyway. I'll include pictures of the switches I need help with as well.
Here is a link to a wiring diagram I found that I think is close.

Differences are (since they're not connected), no ignition (just the kill switch is wired), no tach, no odometer, no horn, and the brake light is 3 wires, not 4.
I took the headlight off and there was a rats nest of unconnected and cut wires, along with about 6 connectors, 3 of which were disconnected. I unpinned them all, fed them through the headlight, depinned the connectors, took the turn signal/headlight switch apart and found out where each wire goes. Here is a drawing of them
Since I don't have a high/low and its just a positive and negative to this light, I'd like to know which wires I need to attach to the positive and negative to turn the light on when the switch is in one position, and off when it is in the other.
I also did the turn signals, which I haven't had the motivation to try to find replacements for yet. This one is even more confusing.
Not gonna tackle this right now, just wanted to put it up here. I think the duplicates are because the old headlight assembly had an indicator light for when the high beams and the turn signals were on, but I could be wrong.
So currently all of the high beam turn signal and horn wires are depinned and rewrapped nicely in electrical tape. A new voltage regulator is on the way, but shipped from china and I didn't realize it. I'd like to sort this wiring out soon so when that gets here I can just splice that in and be able to see at night. It seems a whole lot more manageable than it did at first after I ripped apart all the random ground wires going everywhere and took out the wires from the connectors in the old headlight assembly that I won't be using. Now its only 12 or so wires instead of like 30.
Also, yes the moped is in my living room right now.
