So schedule is out. I don't see Hyperdrive's time. I'm probably just blind though. Was thinking about going for one depending on the time for it. Any info would be great. I see there will be multiple sessions I just want to see the times.

The Hyperdrive times will be on the Hyperfest schedule - they aren't shown on the just-released schedule because they are not held on the Main circuit.

There are 10 slots throughout the Saturday for Hyperdrives. You need to register online (just pick one, or multiple if you want to do multiple sessions) and then go to the Hyperfest Info Booth when you arrive Saturday morning to actually pick which time slots you're driving in.

Hyperdrive schedule isn't up yet. https://www.nasaproracing.com/event/chec...r-fest.com

As I understand it they are doing like 10 throughout the day and you sign up for the # you want to do, then you pick (or are told) the actual session you're going to run later on. :dunno: If they don't clarify soon I'm sure we can reach out to Laura and figure it out. I'd prefer to do like a mid-late-morning session so I don't have to be down there at the ass crack of dawn.

Hmm. So you have to be there early Saturday morning to pick a time later that day? I really would like not have to get there at 7am... and I don't think I can leave Friday unless late.

This is last year's schedule:

Not sure when you should show up but I'd say 8AM is the absolute earliest.

Well I haven't got a response and she never responded to my inquiry about working so I think she may just hate me :dunno:

She's probably just swamped with Hyperfest prep. If you know you want to do one just sign up before they run out of spots and someone will figure out the exact scheduling when we're a bit closer.

I'm still torn on which car to hyperdrive. The E36 is bleeding oil out of the oil pan gasket, headgasket is holdingish, tob bearing is starting to complain and the rear ball joints appear to be on their way out. The GTI is behaving well, but it's boring. I need to hurry up and pick one so I can get the brakes bled and change the oil.

Finally got a response from Laura, looks like I'll be Hyperdriving. She will get back to me by tomorrow. Brake line brackets on the way along with driver side power window motor which decided to die.

Also, I'm wondering how the new Summit Point management I going to take Hyperfest. They seem really uptight to say the very least.

No sign of that on the interwebz. Haven't heard that either. NASA runs hyperfest so I don't see why anything would change. Summit ain't gonna turn down that type of money no matter what event it is.

Bill Scott, the former owner passed away a year or 2 ago, and the family took over/still owns the track (http://www.bsr-inc.com). I havent heard otherwise.

Edit....Wow, Didnt realize it has been 5 years since he passed way, he died in 2009.

Yeah, I think Jens has very little to do with day to day operations now. He's focusing on the Karting side of things. Also, the lady whose name escapes me who used to be the track manager left last year before Hyperfest. Not sure who's running day to day now,so managment is different but once you've seen the BSR tools/ and maintenance guys you'll realize this ain't no VIR. Also, fuck Hyperfest, I have a fucking headache already.

You'll be fine doing whatever you can imagine, just as long as you aren't hammered drunk and trying to fight people in the grandstands....then you get the taser.
