MM Muscle - 1971 Dodge Challenger
#21
It will be white interior with white stripes. The 1970 stripe like those on that vert. I don't like the 71 stripes as much.

White interior is ugly and hard to keep clean/looking good. Sorry just not a fan of white or red interior in any car. Also the car in the picture you posted has black interior.

Put a 426 Hemi in it and the white interior is forgiven.

It seems we're not the only ones who see the insane level of awesome in a purple/white color combo.

My brain is having a hard time comprehending the possibility of keeping a white interior clean for more than a week. Please make it blacker than when Wesley Snipes was the mayor of Blacktown.

There are just some things that rightfully died in the 70's/80's Smile

Love white (and red) interiors for weekend / toy / show cars. Black / beige / gray is for Camry's and minivans.

Keeping a DD clean is different than keeping something like this clean.

I think the purple and white will be great. Fits the resto-mod theme perfectly.

I have a little bit of a rub near lock but if you are turned to lock on a track there are other problems already...

No choice on the interior color. All new white interior was already purchased years ago. Color was chosen, will be 2010 Plum Crazy.

Note the brown around where the master cylinder goes...that was the original 'copper' color. Jams and maybe the trunk will be done tomorrow.

I got these vintage Mr. Gasket headers from one of the guys here at work. They are from the late 70's and very heavy. Nice thick steel. Just needed a clean up and paint. They are done but I haven't snapped pics yet. The engine is getting tore down as far as it needs to be to get painted orange. Lots of underhood stuff is back in. These pics are a few days old. I will get more soon.

Pretty common back then. Usually big block cars had disks..at least GM anyway.

This is a '71 Dodge, usually only big block/performance oriented stuff got discs in front.

They are correct. This is a manual brake all-drum car. However I have a plan in the work to fix this. I read somewhere that later model Dodge full size van front brakes will bolt right up. I'm hoping that the width will be right I want to use a Jeep Grand Cherokee Dana 44 in the rear. That would get me not only disc brakes, but trac-lok as well. Ordering up some parts here in the next few days. I'll keep MM posted.
