Round 1 is done - surgery yesterday to fix a torn labrum and rotator cuff from the F150 accident earlier this year.

Round 2 on Dec 15th.

Winter 2010 bumpage inspired by G's recent post to prevent insanity during the offseason:

S2000:
-replace OEM radiator with Mishimoto radiator currently sitting in the garage
(this might require some slim fans as the radiator is significantly thicker than the OEM one)
-buy seats and mounts (Kyle and/or Navin, you guys still selling those Sparco Evos?)
-mount harnesses
-mount trailer hitch for tire trailer
-get some used R-comps for the Enkei track wheels (2x 225/45/17 and 2x 245/40/17)
-polish headlights and seal them up with xpel transparent film
-replace OEM motor and transmission mounts
-address the timing chain tensioner issue that plagues lots of S2ks.
-brake ducting
-replace OEM Honda radio for the oontz (and to have something a little less fickle about only playing burned CDs half the time)
-replace ghetto soft top patch with slightly less non faded ghetto soft top patch
-koni shocks/ground control coilovers (if a used pair happens to fall in my lap for crazy cheap)

This list is depressing since its really cold outside and time around the holidays always seems to be lacking. If anyone happens to run across a used Sparco Evo or Pro2000 on one of the boards you guys frequent, hit me up.

My seats were gone long ago I wish I had never sold them, but Im looking to get a pro2000 this upcoming autox season.

my winter plans :

- put car back to stock, luckily the PO provided me with every single stock part (need to take off and sell the p&L turbo kit, spearco tmic, alky injection, crappy gauges.. parts that came with the car when I bought it.. and other misc parts).
- catted dp
- cobb ap / flash stage 2
- whiteline 24mm sways F/R
- need to sell my volks (TE37s) so I can buy coilovers
- maybe a seat

My winter plans:

- Have diff built 3.64 60% lockup 4-clutch
- AKG 75D Subframe/Differential Bushings
- Rear OEM inner/outer/upper/lower control arm balljoints
- Create down-turn exhaust
- Install Dual Fuel Pump Setup (finally got the last of the parts this past weekend at the junkyard)
- Weld RTAB reinforcements/sway bar reinforcements
- Fix Heat-shielding
- Decide wether or not ill keep electric fan
- Numbers/Contingency Stickers
- Figure out power-steering issue
- Bimmerworld Intake Boot (traction control delete)
- 3.5 803 MAF
- TRM Dynotuning
- Pick up my 17x9 Foregeline RS competions and new hoosier R6s
- Sell Black DS2s and set of Contours
- Remove brake dust shields F/R, install brake ducting.

Given up on trying to build a splitter this winter, not enough time. Realizing I only have a month left to prep and that I need to start ordering everything.

Honda at least nowadays tends to overengineer their cooling systems. Not sure how it used to be especially with their older sports cars. Shoot, even my transmission has a cooler on it from the factory!

There's nothing wrong with the OEM radiator, I just like to have that extra cooling capacity for track duty, especially during the hotter summer months. Perhaps its just something from my Miata days (which had a very small radiator). That and it was pretty cheap, so I decided to pull the trigger on it awhile ago.

STS autocross car:
-Disconnect battery,
-Put on cover
-Forget about it in storage until spring then change the fluids and tires and it's ready to go.

Spec Miata:
-Remove ABS system
-New booster and master cylinder
-All new hard brake lines
-New fluids
-New RA-1's (never had a new set...)
-Possibly put in a new crate motor if I can get enough $$$ together

Ahh that's cool, I didn't know you were going to be tracking it. Probably not completely necessary for that car but it never hurts for extra insurance if you're going to be driving it hard!! Not sure what kind of oil you use, but I would also recommend Amsoil or Redline...my engine loves it and I don't believe it's been burning any oil.

Things coming up in the winter for my car:
- New tires. Falken 912s are almost dead again after 20k miles of normal driving, mostly due to whack factory alignment specs in the rear. Which leads me to my next item:
- Ingalls rear camber kit. Only the rears of these cars can't be adjusted much from the factory, so unfortunately I have to drop $150 to fix a factory issue. This was actually recommended to me by my buddy who is a Honda master tech.
- Oil change, Amsoil status ran out so I'll use the opportunity to switch to Redline.
- Timing belt service. Already bought all of the parts for this, including valve cover gaskets for a valve adjustment. My buddy says I really shouldn't need to do it so I might put the adjustment off until later. Will probably also begin switching to Redline "Type F" racing ATF as some guys on the Acura forums are having good success with it in terms of prolonging the life of the trans
- Once the big services are out of the way and tax season is past, precat deletes and jpipe will be on order...should net me another 25-30 whp/torque.

That carries me into the spring, where I will probably end up fixing the cosmetic issues with the car before another good wax job.
