Can the car be trailered over and left there at the end of day? Not that itÔÇÖs a big deal to bring it home, just wondering about my options.

lots of people leave cars or camp out right there on the track. i don't think you'd have any worries. heck i think Dave even camped in his car one time.

I'd be interested in heading out over the weekend for a day to spectate, meet some guys, and shoot some pictures. Evan-- Im in Oakton as well, any chance we could ride out together?

I'll be there to do some AWD doughnuts. If there is a flagging school/training program I will do that (never done it before, can't do it if I have to be there Friday - will do it Sat-Sun.)

For the room situation - does anyone else need a room to stay in? I live ~40min from the track in Frederick, but if someone else needs a bed then I'll get a hotel room.

Ok guys,

Be at summit main at 7:30am. Dress for the weather, bring rain gear in case it rains, and warm gear incase it is cold.
When you get there find the registration area (usually the classroom building) and look for either a large grinning middle eastern man with a mustache and glasses (Aryan) or a middle aged blonde woman (Cathy) and tell them that you are there to work.

Aryan said that this weekend he isnt going to put you guys on corners, you will be helping out with tech, grid, announcing etc. Which should give you guys some breaks to get rides.
Do NOT get your hopes or expectations up, but if you bring a track ready car I MAY be able to get you a session on track with me as your instructor. Ill ask Aryan (you dont) when the time is available, if you are interested.

DJ be at my house at 6. If my alarm clock didnt go off then go downstairs, peel RJs sister off of me, and wake me up.

Today was a pretty good day, minus the hail of course! :lol:

Got to meet a couple of guys from the site, and now I've got the track bug worse than ever!

The weather definitely changed, about every 30 minutes.

Fun time though. I'm sure the more experienced guys may have been disappointed but it was good for me. My instructor was very much set on making sure I did not spin. I was very slow early on, but it forced me to get smooth or get out of the way. The track dried out a little toward the end of the day and allowed me to push it a little more.

A few "DOH!" moments, I think I pointed people by the wrong side about 4 times in the first couple sessions. The good part is I didn't have to point anybody by in the last session.
