CarGuys at Summit Point Main. March 7,8,9. Flaggers too. - Evan - 02-07-2008 CarGuys HPDE event at Summit Main coming up March 7,8,9. (friday optional) Ill be there instructing, and so will Snobeck. TONS of track time with CarGuys, usually at least 2 hours per day, plus skidpad sessions. If you are interested, I should be able to get a discount over their normal rates, pm or email me for more info. Flaggers needed as well, compensation is that for 2 weekends flagged you get to drive 1 weekend, and flagging a friday counts as a weekend. (so flagging fri, sat, sun earns you a free weekend) contact me for more details. - HAULN-SS - 02-07-2008 I'll probably ride over and hang out one day if that's cool. I think I have to be out of town part of that weekend, or i'd sign up for flagging or smoething. - Steve85 - 02-07-2008 Seriously considering this, not a bad a way to spend my b-day. I need to iron out some work and family obstacles but it's looking good so far. - D_Eclipse9916 - 02-07-2008 Spring Break! - D_Eclipse9916 - 02-08-2008 Actually I found out I get back from spring break the 7th, who do I contact to work that weekend? - Chris - 02-08-2008 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:Actually I found out I get back from spring break the 7th, who do I contact to work that weekend? call Aryian (sp?) who runs Car Guys. 800-800-4897. You have to mail/fax in all your payments and info which is a pain. Its a great group to run with though - Evan - 02-09-2008 Im talking with Aryan and Cathy about organizing a MM flagger group, Ill have info soon. - Feersty - 02-10-2008 HAULN-SS Wrote:I'll probably ride over and hang out one day if that's cool. Yeah, don't you guys live minutes from the track? - HAULN-SS - 02-11-2008 ya really - D_Eclipse9916 - 02-13-2008 Evan any progress on the flagging thing? - Evan - 02-26-2008 Finally got ahold of Aryan. Flagger group is a go, so let me know by this friday if you want to flag - kcook - 02-26-2008 why are these events so damn expensive... otherwise id sign up... $425.. jesus - CaptainHenreh - 02-26-2008 kcook Wrote:why are these events so damn expensive... otherwise id sign up... $425.. jesus That's why people work. And that's why people sell their credits, like mine. $250 for a weekend isn't so bad. - Evan - 02-26-2008 kcook Wrote:why are these events so damn expensive... otherwise id sign up... $425.. jesusThere is a 5% discount, so it comes out to a hair over $400. Given the track time you get with carguys, you actually come out ahead on track time per dollar compared to some other groups. Or, like Rex said, flag and get it for free. - Steve85 - 02-26-2008 Well I faxed my form over a couple days ago, just need to call tomorrow and confirm. - Evan - 02-28-2008 Flaggers! I need to know today or tomorrow AM at the latest if you would like to flag. DJ? Dave? Drivesideways? Jeff? For anyone who wants a ride, I will be departing NOVA early friday morning, and commuting back to nova each night (no hotel) - HAULN-SS - 02-28-2008 I can't flag this one, but I think I will stop by on sunday - I wont be in town friday/saturday - Jeff - 02-28-2008 I have to work
- drivesideways46 - 02-28-2008 Can you give me an idea of the schedule on Fri-Sun? I'm 99.9% sure I can do it, I just want to make sure that it won't conflict with work too badly. Edit: Do flaggers generally get a chance to run a couple parade laps or anything during the day? I don't want to go flat out in the Mustang, but it'd be nice to get an idea of what I need to work on before I finally get this pile ready to track. - Evan - 02-28-2008 You will need to be there around 730am each day. You should be prepared to stay until 5pm, but usually Carguys is done early around 4 especially on sunday. Flaggers get all the parade laps they want over lunch If we are running the skidpad you could probably get some skidpad time over lunch too. Come find me and Ill clear it and go out with you to give some pointers. |
