i've got a stereo tuner i'll bring down (unless someone wants it... the volume control is funky, it is old, and only one of the channels work. if you're fine with wiring it up 'mono' then it works just fine).

They are threatening to shut it down if people keep destroying things up there. They just cleaned it up and there is a new sign that reads "paper targets only" and as far as we can tell Skeet shooting is only allowed at the pistol range...which is fine because its better for it anyway. So anything you bring to blow the hell out of make sure you bring a bag or a box to put its remains in. I'm gonna take a rake next time I go and clean up brass and shells.

maeng i wont have a problem showing you some stuff, and my roomate is pretty good at skeet shooting so im sure he would be willing to teach ya the ropes as well.

Skill at Skeet shooting really depends on the shot gun you are handed and the skill of the thrower. If you are shooting hand tossed skeet with a modified or 'skeet' choke you will probably hit them every time, just point the ball at the end of the barrel an inch in front of the skeet and they will explode every time. If you step up to a full choke and machine thrower (think skeet 2-3x as far/fast) you really need to know what you are doing and will have a harder time hitting your target at first.

It's at the bottom of the WV side of the 1st Mountian out of Harrisonburg on 33W. Past where we went camping about 5 miles. I don't have GPS coordinates for it ATM.

Ok, I guess I am event coordinator for this one. Does anyone have any ideas for a date at this point? I'm glad so many people have their own gun, that helps out a lot. Lets start throwing some dates up so we can get one picked out that works for everyone. Maybe we should shoot for the second or third week we are back from school?

SURE!! 223 is a fun round. I like 7.62X39 better...but most of the rest of the world disagrees. So, we have an AR-15, an AK-47, and a bunch of shotguns...this should be fun!

so i'm definitely a n00b when it comes to guns and know next to nothing about them, would someone be able to write up like an "idiots guide to gun safety and proper shooting form" or something like that? i'm actually pretty excited about shooting though, lets do this soon!
