I don't get how Turo is a thing.

How does the question, "How do I treat a rental car?", not eliminate every person from wanting to add their car to the service?

Nope.

I rented out my gray F150 on Turo. It was sitting a lot and I figured it may as well earn its keep. Being used around the DC area meant it didn't get a ton of miles on it. Lots of renters who needed to move furniture, really. One guy asked about towing his boat about 10 miles, which I allowed because he had extensive towing history with his own trucks. Normally would have said no there.

The only "bad" experience was one guy got a parking ticket in DC, which was under my name as it's tied to the plates. He just gave me $50 cash and I paid it immediately. NBD.

Not sure I'd put a sports car on there but it worked fine for a few-year-old truck.

This is always my thought. Because I know if I was renting an F-Type or P Car I would flog the ever-loving hell out of it.

I'll be renting an M235i vert when i go to San Fran. After going through a bunch of listings, a not insignificant amount of people mentioned having monitoring devices in the car.

It's not really any different than airbnb. I'd consider getting my monthly car payment paid by 2-3 days of rental.

Renting my own car out is way too millennial for me, but I damn sure have no problem flogging on someone's F-Type R if I'm paying for it and they hand me the keys

The way they want you to price the car its more like 10 days of rental (after their cut) to make your payment.

I tried listing the 135 and didnt get any hits until I lowered the price below what I was comfortable with.

Maybe prices might be more out this way? For example, $51/day for a 2015 Mini: https://turo.com/rentals/cars/wa/bellevu...s=Qi4Ydt4A

I can't say I'd pay any of the prices listed for Seattle, but I guess there's enough demand...

I gotta say, only having one car note sure does not suck. So far the one car thing is going well, even with wifey out of town for the entire week. It may turn my OCD nature more toward the Mazda though; she curbed a wheel on her trip and I'm over here like

Man, I remember those days. The F31 has had brown marks down one side for months because the wife side swiped a large hedge row while parking. I would not be able to share a car with my wife had I not a made a concerted effort to stop caring that our cars don't look perfect. I think maybe city life kinda beat it out me.
