2016 Spring Apparel Order
#21
We actually did listen to you and we looked at prices for other materials. They cost a lot more. Want a nice sweatshirt? That's $50. No current students can afford that. Chip is about to post some more info for you people that want to spend more money, but just remember that things get complicated when ordering two different materials, and we are already having a hard enough time getting the minimum orders.

You're telling me you students can't scrape together $22 for a quality t shirt? I would be in for one of those.

Not saying it's your fault (i understand prices are what they are) and I do appreciate your extra effort but Damn $55 for this http://www.amazon.com/Champion-Pullover-...ion+hoodie someone has some Damn good margins lol

I'd do an American apparel miata shirt in medium if we can get 12. Sorry if its been explained but why wouldn't it be the same minimum. Minimums are usually to prevent setup costs eating up the margin. But its the same design and I can't imagine them using a different setup between shirts.

Are the sweatshirts minimum order as well?

Students typically don't have a problem with the Gildan shirts, so therefore when we can save money (being broke college kids :lolSmile, we try to use them.

You are exactly right, sorry if I forgot to clear that up. If 6 students want gildan, and 6 alumni want nice shirts or vice versa, we can get the tshirts. Same with the sweatshirts. However, minimum orders aren't going to matter, as we will make sure everyone who wants something, will get something (i.e. selling off extra at the car show). Hopefully we can get the minimums on the two items without much hassle, I already know us officers will be covering a chunk of the minimum order because we want the shirts and sweatshirts.

Feel free to sponsor me mine, bro Wink

I spend $22 on heavy things, not t-shirts. Its a T-shirt lol. When I get a big boy job I'll upgrade the clothes budget Smile

You guys tried Custom Ink?

This would be like $43 per shipped, and is polyester performance material.

And they do group orders/shipping/payments.

It's hard for me to take this argument serious anymore.

When shirts were $11, I could somewhat understand not want to splurge on a more expensive one. And if you're completely satisfied with the gildan stuff, then by all means, knock yourself out. All we asked was to look into the option of nicer and you did that and for that, I thank you. And now alumni can get nice shirts and students can choose which they want.

But the whole we are too broke to afford a $22 shirt over a $18 shirt is somewhat comical when a proponent may be on a tight college budget (which most of us have been there and some still are) but spend or talk about spending money like crazy in other aspects (and threads) if you don't want the nice shirt don't get it, just don't say it's cause you're a poor college student lol

Alright back on track. What justin said

The problem is the min order. The cheaper you can get it the more you have to buy. That's the issue I think why they haven't looked at some other options or considered them.

I would like a medium AA miata shirt in black. What do I need to do to get one of these? Other alumni in for this option?

Talk on a forum is cheap. And saving is hard. Just because someone says they want to spend money on something in a thread, doesn't mean they have the means to do it, or hell will even do it. I know everyone wants to save money where they can. So instead of asking why people won't spend $4 extra dollars on something they feel they don't need, just buy the nice shirt and let them buy the other lol. Like I said, if 3 people want nice ones and 9 people want the other, we get the shirts.

The point is making the apparel order that works for both sides and they did that yet people are still bitching that money doesn't matter. The officers do what you say and some people still complain about something else is all I think these officers are trying to say.
