I'm waffling between staying in DJ's trailer (which I probably will do, because I'm cheap) or splitting a hotel room with someone.

If I do go Paul and I were going to split a room, idk if there is much room after that (maybe couch?) but just a thought if I don't go you get a bed easily if you want to split with Paul.

Ryan - I would say that if you bring extra fluids, basic tools, some duct tape (really), a spare wheel/tire, and use common sense, you'd be just fine. Your car isn't some ancient POS, I think the biggest risk is just you overdriving it and bending some metal - not some random gasket or hose failing because it's 25 years old.

I was definitely going to bring spare wheels (2) and have tools I always bring. Fluids, nothing leaks so not very worried on that. Jake you are right on the money with my thoughts though

If you want experience towing, I suggest starting with Jakes open trailer . A 22' foot long truck and 36' long trailer is NOT the trailer to learn on. You are more than welcome to ride along though. :thumbup:

I probably wouldn't want to drive your rig because of all the money in it, but I can't imagine driving that trailer would be too much different from a bus (besides backing up). Don't want to be overly confident, but I think I would figure it out eventually. :wink:

And Jake, I'd be willing to split a hotel with you.

Not really, the buses handle like giant cars. They're super easy to drive. I'm not saying a trailer is super hard but it's definitely a completely different animal.

OK, so it looks like Paul and I are leaving from my house (caravaning my truck and his Mustang), doing 95 South to Richmond, and picking up one of his friends and Zach. I'd really like to be on the road by... 8 AM? if possible. The earlier the better, really. That would have us arriving around 6 PM in Atlanta.

DJ, I know you are caravaning with Jim and Simon and doing the 81-to-77 route. I'd join y'all but it adds another half hour to my drive

We will probably leave a little earlier than that. Not looking forward to the tow but it is what it is. Haven't decided route yet because we differ (I prefer 81 vs 29 fuckery).

i'll have the camera to attempt to land a decent shot of you guys hard parking.
