I've been secretly fawning over 2002's for about a year. For about 30 seconds at a time, I consider selling the 911. I'm not surprised prices are climbing, but I can't believe where they are now.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

do 911's suck that bad to drive that you'd want an antique sedan instead?

Nah, I just really like the styling... reminds me of Spy vs. Spy or something.

I will say the clutch on my 911 is ridiculous for driving in a hilly city that's second only to San Francisco. It's a great cruiser, but a pretty terrible commuter. I just haven't gotten a lot of driving time that isn't commuting or hauling a baby as of late.

Well. Ok. That's a tii though. If you wanted nice one to actually drive and enjoy for reasonable $, a carbureted one is where it's at.

+1. and a roundie at that, but still, the market has been nutty.

If you can live with the shame of a square tail you can get in the game much more reasonably.
Toss on a pair of 45 side drafts with a schrick 292 cam and you'll have more fun per dollars than a tii.

I'm on Atkins for the rest of my driving life - zero carbs.

As RJ how my last foray into carbs went. Spoiler alert: He helped me clean them.

Carb. Singular.

Your strategy of paying people do things you dont want to do, like huff gas fumes, was well in place by then

Yeah... plural jets.

My desire to pay my way out of things is part not wanting to do them, part understanding that there's a 50% chance I'm going to get pissed off and burn whatever it is to the ground. I know my limitations and it's just better for everyone for me not to test them.
