But seriously, NC Miata. The top will be fine, there's always the OEM hardtop if you can find one (non PRHT). I still dream of the Super20:

Really though is this the most bullshit marketing statement ever made about a car? It seems like a contender.

Something tells me a 2006 Corvette would be a bit more money and you're thinking he'd be okay DDing a C4.

Didn't realize NC Miatas had crashed that hard. Thought they were still in the 10-12k range which is a nice C5. 99/2000 C5s can be had in the 8-10k region.

Remember, I suggested NC Miata...

the TT was John's, one of the original MM members. its long gone. something like 400hp, back when that was considered A LOT. i think after a couple track days the honeymoon phase wore out.

Is that TT the same one that Ian R had later on? That thing was fucking insane.

Nah, Ian had a different one that was built by a guy down here in SW/VA. The one John had went to a guy I used to work with at Sheetz. Last I heard it was still around Harrisonburg.

Lol no. It's almost always a better idea to save the money and turbo a regular one. MSMs are not the best cars.

Just to name a few, you're better off installing a mega squirt with an aftermarket turbo than the shitty engine management the stock MSM has. The 6 speed feels nice but the gearing sucks for a Miata (the final drive is the same as the 5 speed, so what's the point?) And all of the parts added for the turbo tend to fail like the blow off valve. Plus the increase in horsepower is embarrassingly low for the premium you pay over a regular Miata. Most people still ask over 10k for a decent one.

Huh. Crazy. So buy a Miata for like $4k and then boost it, Ryan.

06+ NC Miata:

Sport w/suspension package
GT w/suspension package or premium package
Limited

05+ 350Z:

Track
GT

04+ MR2:

Trim levels or options besides LSD?

BMW Z4:

What should I be looking for here?

3.0i or si? Sport Package? Premium Package? Not sure if that is right from some small research.

Edit:

06+ Z4 3.0i w/Sport package at minimum seems like the best option for budget
