Cool cars for sale that ain't yours!
SlimKlim Wrote:Ah, then yeah I'm right there with you guys. I always coveted them growing up, one of Ken's friends had one that was making close to 500hp that I got a ride in and it was nucking futs. That shrinkwrapped engine bay + turbos is what always scared me away from them.

I was just thinking about that car the other day when I was at JMU merging onto 81. I remember him red line shifting into third and the back end getting squirrelly.

It's JDM
It's a Fairlady
It's RHD
It's got straight-from-Japan jizz all over the backseat
It's awesome

Is a "Fairlady" any different than a regular Z? I thought that's just the naming convention in Japan.

Oh I don't know, that's just JDM speak. I always assumed it had different body styling and stuff because I never saw USDM 300ZXs that looked like the original JDM Fairladys

love those things so much. i still have a 300ZX IMSA slot car 8)

such a shame maintenance sucks so hard, but i guess if you had a lift it would be totally worth it. i've heard that outside of the ridiculous engine packaging, they're built like brick shithouses which is why so many are chugging along with high miles these days.

apparently 450+hp is reliably capable on stock turbos with modern ECU tuning and a few proven mods Confusedhock:

Ohhkay so how about for the discerning old & rare import drivers (and those who prefer their JDM project cars to be semen-less) I present you with a Tommykaira R32 GTR with Brembos and a full suspension setup:

I really should have gone ahead with my plan years ago to pack a few of these R32's in storage over in Canada until they hit 25 years.

Why can I never have good ideas and $ at the same time?

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
