Random 6 month update in a nutshell:

It's reliably boring. I think somewhere in those 6 months I got an oil change, did a tire rotation, annnnddd that's about it. It's definitely time to do driveline fluids so I'll tackle those somewhere this month. It definitely needs to have the trans fluid drained and replaced and we're currently sitting at 173,000 miles so in another 6-9 months it will be time to think about timing belt X2!! Crazy to think I bought this ~3.5 years ago and have put about 60k miles on it. It just keeps chuggin. Otherwise, I've been working through a few things to make the 4Runner MORE camping suitable (shocking, I know).
I spend 90% of my trips sleeping in the truck. It's easy setup and easy breakdown. I really only use a tent in the summer months so that I can get a decent breeze. With that being said I wanted to 1) improve insulation in the winter months camping and 2) provide myself with a little bit of privacy instead of being a zoo exhibit camping. It's pretty sweet because now it's dark as hell in the truck.
I ordered up some Reflectix insulation and cut some window shades for all of the windows except for the front. I have a cheap ass sunshade there. Nothing fancy just pressfit into the edges. The plan is to attach black fabric to one side so that if I am in the warmer months I can keep that side in and have the reflective side facing out to keep out the extra heat.

Other than that I've been collecting, sketching, or designing a drawer system I want to implement. Something where I'll have decent storage which will ultimately become a full length sleeping platform on the passenger side. I'll probably remove that portion of the rear seat because I pretty much travel solo on all of these trips and don't ever drive people. Still leaves me with seating for +2 be keeping the passenger seat in behind the driver.
I'll be eyeing what goes on sale for Black Friday. I'd like to move up to a 33x10.5 tire and possibly get a rear swing out bumper, but it's kinda a "meh" mod that won't gain me much other than the looks.I haven't functionally found a need for either one of those things. I might actually splurge for a lightbar because out in BFE those fire roads are dark as shit. Some recent camping photos attached from the last few months.
